What has been obvious to rational people, which leaves out the majority of the anti Trump brigade, for some time now is that the smarter Democrats, which isn't saying much, have figured out that impeachment isn't going to happen now or ever so their best bet is to keep the sham running as long as possible to which end they will subpoena anyone and everyone they can think of in order to drag the farce out to the maximum length possible and hopefully damage Trump's standing with his base at least as much as they damage their standing with there own hyper radical base, which has even less of a grip on reality than they do.

He left ten cases of obstruction of justice. Four of them with the necessary burden usually required to prosecute (act, nexus, intent). The other six with alternative explanations or what information is lacking, but with clear indications to Congress on what they need and who to interview in order to raise to the same level. Everything outside his jurisdiction apparently has been passed to the corresponding jurisdiction.

So it's just a matter of continuing the process... Fact is that, as it is, I don't see a path for Trump to avoid doing prison time. Do you?

 

Yes. I think the best way to build consensus is to get these guys in public hearings. Especially Trump. You can only do that by initiating impeachment proceedings now. So whatever she's doing, she needs to do it quickly.

I suspect Nancy thinks what I have always believed: that Trump's real downfall will be his financial crimes. But this administration has gone haywire and time is running out.

There is no legislative value to trying to bankrupt people who work with Trump into telling lies. That phase of the temper tantrum is over and Mueller is not too excited about his reputation being trashed for the prosecutorial misconduct he signed up to engage in. Any self-respecting prosecutor would have turned down the assignment to investigate a candidacy and administration based solely on opposition research sourced from the KGB.

Nobody needs a better one. The alt lefties, much of the media, and many posters on various forums have made complete asses of themselves since Trump announced he was running. Get over your loss you will be a better man/woman/alphabet for doing so. Next time run a better candidate.

 

That was the original excuse for Trump's crimes. But it's getting so old. It has always been absurd, but Trump loyalists used to sound convinced. Not anymore, though. They've tried to come up with new excuses. But all short-lived One was that Democrats hated billionaires. And then there was the one that just did away with any qualifiers and they simply said that Democrats hated Trump. Which was great for laughs. They recently even tried a "this is a coup" excuse Which fell flat on its face pretty quick once we pointed out that a "coup" would be great if it put a Democrat in power... but not Mike Pence.

Anyway, keep trying. You'll find one.... maybe.... Or maybe not.

"10 cases of obstruction" ... (D)'s havent begun the "process" they have available, so it's a "matter of continuing" the fishing expedition. 4 of Nadler's (D) committee colleagues want Mueller subpoenaed. Nadler won't agree. Bob must've broken the news to Jerry on the phone: "no obstruction".
