Probably not, I sadly agree. But if I were a voter in that district, I'd raise hell. Don't we want competent representatives? I want the best the Democratic Party can offer us. Pelosi isn't it.

I remember there was a purple democrat in California, and she had a well reasoned response to the need for the records. I'd want that purple democrat as speaker or as judiciary chairperson. Give us someone other than the Pelosi/Nadler sufferage.

I remember when Nancy Pelosi said sneeringly of the freshman radicals like A.O.C. that a glass of water could win their particular districts. It looks like all those drinking glasses are now running the Party and that Nancy is now just a meaningless figurehead. Pelosi has absolute confidence the rubes would continue to support the DNC House, even right on the heels of a failed impeachment. Pelosi is far less certain Trump can be beaten in 2020. Impeaching now would cripple the "resistance" during Trump's 2nd term. Pelosi simply wouldn't have any means to harass Trump, and no excuse for not legislating. Impeachment will be "on the table" for 6 more years.

 

Here is one. He is so off the path of acting PRESIDENTIAL, that he is starting to invoke 25th amendment territory.

Indeed, he needs an intervention, as his lashing out is reaching bad little boy phase. And, we do indeed, have to pray for our nation, and hope we have enough goodwill in reserve, to WEATHER the Trump.

 

We don't know if he actually did anything wrong, but if we open up his whole life and make him spill every bit of financial data, we'll find out...maybe. If we don't find out anything....whooopsie, he's a president so no privacy for him...no biggie. So now that the Speaker made clear there is no impeachment, it's obvious that the hunt for his tax returns etc are all political stunts and the subpenas should be quashed

What are you talking about? Oversight is fine, but political op-research is not the proper role of the US House of Representatives and a clear abuse of power by the Dems. The Speaker has no admitted that is the goal, since impeachment is not at all being looked into.

Impeachment is considerably more risky for impeachers now that a whole lot of documents will be declassified pronto.
