Obama really was the great divider and having trump in office has healed wounds from those years of Obama inspired race riots. Another victory for a great president. "But no one had to misquote Obama’s rhetoric against the police on every single racially charged issue, his relentless attacks on Republicans as racist, his role (and CNN’s) in exacerbating the racial tensions that resulted in race riots in Ferguson and Baltimore, or his supporters’ relentless attacks on everyday Americans as racist… Trump, on the other hand, has offered only a unifying message about race and against racism. Despite the media’s lies, he condemns white supremacism, including after Charlottesville, and his focus on improving the lives of black and Hispanic Americans have resulted in record low unemployment for both groups. Under Obama, racial tensions were always at a boil. Under Trump, racial tensions (outside of the lies screamed in the news media) have settled down considerably. "An academic study shows that racism has decreased during President Trump’s time in office, reports Spectator USA. Daniel J. Hopkins and Samantha Washington, two University of Pennsylvania sociologists, ran a study measuring the racial attitudes of 2,500 randomly selected Americans since 2008." Breitbart.com reports: In their most recent report, the academics admit they expected to see an increase in racist opinions among the group, stating, “Normalization of prejudice or opinion leadership both lead us to expect that expressed prejudice may have increased in this period, especially among Republicans or Trump supporters.” Instead… What they found is a decrease in racism under Trump: Americans, claim Hopkins and Washington, have actually become less inclined to express racist opinions since Donald Trump was elected. Anti-black prejudice, they found, declined by a statistically-insignificant degree between 2012 and 2016, when Trump was elected. But then after 2016 it took a sharp dive that was statistically significant. Moreover, contrary to their expectations, the fall was as evident among Republican voters as it was among Democrats. There was also a general fall in anti-Hispanic prejudice, too, although this was more evident among Democrat voters. As you can guess by their preconceived notions about which way the study would go and the absurd belief there has been a “normalization of prejudice” under Trump, the two sociologists conducting the study are not running around in Make America Great Again hats. But the obvious difference between racial attitudes under Trump and under Obama is that Trump is nowhere near as racially divisive as Barry was."sounds https://www.shiftfrequency.com/racism-has-declined-under-trump/
Never mind the fact that white nationalists love him and what he says. Right? That’s not relevant? If the US is demonstrably less racist today than in previous years, it is in spite of Trump, not because of him.
In spite of or because of is subjective. Obama endeavoured to fire up race problems and Trump has pretty much ignored race and concentrated on having a good economy that all races have prospered from. So either way whether it's benign neglect or active attempts to heal race relations the result is the same. Race relations have improved under Trump.
That is true.. And racist people that couldn't stand the idea of a black man in the White House.stoked the fire and fanned the flames. I and my family and friends were at peace, you and your friends were not. End of story.

We all know trumpers lie. They intentionally lied to throw the polls in 2016- in fact they gloated about it. They continue to lie to throw the polls. And no doubt they lie about racism. Number one rule: Trumpers lie, just like trump.
I'm assuming you forgot Obama's history of pouring gasoline on every racial fire imaginable. And the explanation for it is obvious and Trump's rhetoric has little to do with it one way or the other. We are no longer under the economic stress we were dealing with during the Obama years, racial and other tensions tend to dissolve during booms and increase during economic hardship.
Not even a little bit. Obama was the cause for the world's first ever Beer Summit. Obama stated, "If I had a son he would have looked like Trayvon," in order to cynically poison potential jury pools and intimidate the assigned judge. Obama endorsed the known lie of "hands up don't shoot." Obama was the race-agitating president.
Former president Barack Obama was ten times the man Trump is...and ten times the president. President Obama will be remembered in history much more favorably than Trump.
Since their ideologically-based claim that the United States is one of the most hate-filled racist and bigoted nations on Earth is used as a vote-getting tool by the political Left, how could they possibly be happy for this nation to discover that now that chronically race-agitating Barack Obama is out of office the United States is far less racist and bigoted with Trump as president? I mean this is, after all, ALL about the politics of the situation with the political Left . . . and not what's actually best for the nation.
It's my experience that men get along better shoulder to shoulder rather than face to face. Men working together decreases racism. The lowest non-white unemployment rate ever in American history has a lot to do with easing racial tensions. that is 100% attributable to President Trump. There is absolutely no way that the democrats or the never-Trump republicans can get the rest of us to personally dislike President Trump enough to return to their economic stagnation and social tension. We will not cut off our noses to spite Trump's face.
