Robert Mueller is speaking for the first time. I am listening at the moment.

He is summarizing and repeating everything mentioned in the report. He spent a good bit of time of detailing the reasons to not allege or indict Trump for obstruction.

Mueller announced his resignation. You can watch the video (it is only ~10 minutes) here:

In regards to testifying before Congress, he said that he would limit himself to the contents of the report.

He also appears to emphasize the systematic efforts to influence the election by Russia.

Specifically, he referenced the DOJ policy against indicting the President.

He emphasized that given the DOJ policy, he would (emphasizing this word) not make the decision on obstruction.

Because a President "cannot be charged with a federal crime while he is in office"

No surprises today, IMHO... Nothing I wasn't aware of...

Congress has to do their job now...

    And Mueller says....

    "Investigation is over. I'm out."

Mueller made it explicitly clear that the investigation into Obstruction of Justice should be continued by Congress, as a co-equal branch of the Government.

If Mueller thought Trump obstructed anything then it would be impossible for a president to do it alone. Impossible. So why didn't he indict the people who aren't president? Is it because 'no reasonable prosecutor' would pursue this case?

Cool move forward with impeachment and let the voters decide in 2020, it's real f'ing simple. We are tired of debating it either get your party to get off their ass and impeach, then the voters will decide in 2020.

Like "now" is somehow significant? "Now" Mueller has officially washed his hands of it, and he used OLC regs as his ticket out. Mueller didn't say Trump obstructed justice, the indecisiveness of the report isn't any different "now". Congress could have started impeachment a month ago, and legitimized the 100+ plus subpoenas they issued in the process. "Now" more inuendo, more 2020 posturing, more media hysteria. "no surprises today IMHO" either.

Cling to that thought. It will give you purpose during Trump's second term.

The republicans will refuse to do their Constitutional duty. And we all know it. But perhaps as with Nixon, the weight of the truth will force their hand. So continue to build the case and see where it goes in the House.

Yes, we know that his minions could care less that he's a criminal thug. You don't need to keep proving it. ;)

And apparently trumpers now think they're psychic. Wooooohooooooowooooooo. But since ya'll are Holiday Inn experts, no surprise there either.

Exactly. McGahn delivered the directive to Rosenstein. McGahn wasn't charged, Rosenstein doesn't claim, and didn't report to congress as he pledged, that Trump interfered in or impeded the investigation. Mueller used the OLC regs as a means of escaping.

If I could have exonerated the President I would have...……….
I could not indict the President because of DOJ policy, no matter what Barr implied...
Congress is free to use this information or it can be used when the President is out of office.

The Report explicitly noted that Trump's efforts to obstruct justice were largely defeated specifically because others refused to carry out his orders.

The 11 acts that arguably constitute Obstruction of Justice were coals placed there by Trump.

Nor did he say he was guilty like Ken Starr did 12 times in his report. Impeach or not it's that simple.

Now Mueller is in the clear to make some bank off the TDS sufferers. He should slap together a book, and sell it to all the people on the left who are more than willing to throw money at anybody who'll tell them the fairytales they're desperate to believe.
