So with that kind of logic if he moves in and as a bunch of noisy kids really quickly and toys are all over, that would also lower your property value to. So he should get rid of his kids because someone was stupid and bought to much house and is upside down in it.

He has the right to remain stupid. Nobody has the right to take that from him.

I am confident that very few Americans will take this symbol seriously, as thought it deserves any attention.

Well, at least this thread has shown where @Jack Napier is now.

So you're saying that kind of a lawsuit would be a Heil Mary kind of pass?

No, he should CONTROL his kids and keep his yard reasonably tidy. If you live in a physically close community, it's what you should do, even if you have to be reminded from time to time..

Get rid of his kids.....SMFH... where do you people come up with that ****??

If you are libertarian, why do you think those neighbors are entitled to live free from offensive symbolism sitting on someone else's property? Let the neighbors be offended. Let them gossip and disinvite, and let them refuse to serve them in the local restaurant, or fix their plumbing when asked. ( At present discrimination based on political affiliation is still tolerated in virtually every jurisdiction) But why do they get a neighborhood rule banning his political expression? Can they ban the 'Vote for Biden' sign too?

Not in 1st Amendment cases. In 1st Amendment cases, the Supreme Court applies what it calls strict scrutiny, and the party it applies strict scrutiny to is the government. Very few laws limiting speech ever make it past strict scrutiny. Attempting to ban the display of the swastika would be struck down in no time. Most of the examples you offered would run afoul of public decency laws, and wouldn't count as free speech.

It's his property. I don't buy it that he thinks it's a symbol of life but if people don't like it then don't look in his yard. I think he's intentionally being an ass. It's a slippery slope. The Constitution doesn't guarantee that another person's speech won't be offensive.

It's not the trolling as much as having the courage to express ones self without doing it from behind a monitor.

I swear to god we live in the upside-down now!! You give him props? For what exactly? For trolling? So you like that he is being insincere, mean, and stupid? And that is the best case scenario. Worst case scenario he is a Nazi. I can't believe we have devolved so much as a species to where people give other people props for turning their yard into a giant swastika!!

I am 100% certain that you don't actually like that. You just like WHAT he is expressing. If he were to instead, say, project homemade gay porn onto your street, I feel confident your admiration for his "courage to express oneself" would quickly fall by the wayside.

Honestly, I think HOA's should be banned as improper interference with property and speech rights. Laws against noise pollution (blasting your stereo or letting your dog bark) should be toughened up, though. If your right to swing your arm ends at my nose, your right to blast your stereo ends at my ears.

Why do you lefties insist on making the swastika = porn analogy? The first is political speech, the second is obscenity. You can ban the 2nd, you can't ban the 1st, but you seem to think the reverse is true.
