Do you feel that blatant straw men are better than rational arguments? At no point did I say that the assailants couldn't have been Muslim or that they categorically weren't Muslim. Please read my posts.

 

I think it’s sad how a thread about an assault on a lesbian couple has turned into one about how evil Muslims are — even though the race of perpetrators has not been released.

 

That's why my post was in the form of a question.

 

Because Muslims are the most likely suspects, given their belief system. Islam is not a 'race'. btw.

 

In that culture, if they're a slut or a whore it's pretty much fair game.

That pretty much includes most European women.
(You have to remember what the muslim concept of a virtuous woman is)

 

You are correct Islam isn’t a race, do you have a source showing Muslims are statistically the most likely to commit assaults (in general or against LGBT persons). I’m not saying you are wrong, just seeing if you are basing your opinion on data over animus.

 

They're on record supporting these crimes, and establishing their hatreds into laws, but it's 'Islamophobic' or 'racist' to point out their crimes and beliefs. Brains have been washed.

 

If I send you a list of their beliefs and crimes you'll ask for another link. Please just do some investigating on what the clerics have to say on your own.

 

I did not ask for a list of their beliefs — they are varied as there are numerous different sects of Islam to various degrees of intensity.

I did not ask for a list of their crimes — I can list hundreds of white crimes but it does not necessarily mean whites commit the majority of crime.

I am asking for a source with a statistical analysis of population density of religious views correlated to assault in the U.K. I looked, I cannot find one. Since you are not producing one I will just assume your narrative is based on agenda and animus over actual data.

Asume whatever you want. That's not unusual on these boards. Islamic crimes, prejudices, hatreds and terrorism is not restricted to the UK, btw. It's international.

It very well may be that the perpetrators have zilch to do with Islam.

Here's why they may - active "homophobia" and mysoginy are things which most definitely exist within Islam, the extent of which varies depending on the practitioner obviously, but nevertheless it's prominent. Even if one is Islamic in name only, and not an actual practitioner, certain attitudes may have trickled down.

Secondly, there's the use of the phrase "gang of teens" in every article on this story. That phrase is practically a dog whistle. The optics of ethnic/religious minorities attacking a lesbian couple are horrid, and not something media would be quick to announce since it's counter to the narrative that there's an oppressed rainbow coalition that's suffering under the oppresion of 'you know who'.

A final thing to consider is the population of Muslims in London. It's significant, and elevates the likelihood.

Again, could be wrong, but I'm confident in wagering that if the perpetrators were white, and if even a trace of right wing influence were to be detected through social media perhaps, we'd all be perfectly aware of the details surrounding this incident.

 

The % of Muslims in London is 12.4%. To call this significant, is making a clown of yourself. Cmon.
All in all, to just point at Muslims when you don't know nothing, only shows how openly Islamophobic people are.

You are refusing to provide one which leads me to believe it’s just your opinion.

In America for example Muslims are much more tolerant than their evangelical counterparts on many issues and do not represent a statistical outlier on crime, nor do people of Arab ancestry, that honor falls to blacks.

Let me know if you can come up with a source for U.K. statistics.

And you may be correct, I was trying to see if there is any data that behind the narrative or it was just simply assumption. I cannot find usable data on racial / ethnic / religious crimes for the U.K. They may not track it.
