People can't seem to separate Muslims from Islam, thinking they are the same thing.

Most Muslims actually know little about Islam, only what they are exposed to from their clerics and peers.

 

There seems to be a lot of hostile accusations in this thread. Dislikeing Iran is not the same thing as advocating war against them. I think Iran is the evilest place on earth, and I've given my reasons for this view
in several threads. I am, however, opposed to any war against Iran. I favor sanctions to keep the Iranians from further extending their power and influence and preventing them from having the funding to
sponsor proxy attacks against the US and its allies. Getting rid of Iran's repressive, theocratic government is up to the Iranian people. There have been many demonstrations against the theocrats, but
the power of the state brutally suppresses them. Sanctions help deprive the Iranian theocrats of the finances to crush their opponents, thus encouraging the Iranian people to seek their freedom. Iran is
what this thread was originallly about, some people seem to being trying to change the subject.
