It's never the right thing to libel anyone. Will he be able to collect? Will the Daily Stormer be forces out of business?

As a free speech absolutist I have never been comfortable with defamation law. You don't have a right to the positive opinions of others.

What’s it worth to falsely be called a racist?

I was thinking about the college professor who posted photoshopped images of Steven Crowder with swastika tattoos, and making some completely unfounded accusations about him... pretty sure that professor still has his job... like zero consequences... other than looking like a tool when Crowder confronted him.

So you wouldn't have a problem with someone posting flyers of you around your neighbourhood, claiming that you are something you are not? (e.g. a pedophile, a convicted sex offender, a nazi, a muslim terrorist?) You think that everyone has (or should have) the right to spread lies about you?
    It is a serious question.

I wonder if he will ever collect a penny?

Neo-Nazis (like Anglin) are notoriously dishonorable.

Sadly, people like Anglin have built up quite a following since America Elected a White Supremacist Sympathizer (like Trump).

I've always seen some big issues between libel laws and freedom of the press.

It can be a blurry line.

Is a reporter allowed to write a story and mention names when there is evidence that the story is true? Or are all publicated news stories potentially subject to lawsuit by anyone whose name is referred to in the article?

Often times defamation laws can be used as an excuse to punish people who write controversial publications, trying to shut them down.
The real reason behind the lawsuit and huge fines may have nothing actually to do with the particular article that is the subject of the lawsuit.

When people have nothing intelligent to add to the debate they often resort to calling other people racists. In my mind, people who consistently rely on calling other people racists simply don't have the intelligence and mental agility to contend with people who do.

Where would you like to start? Trying to make inroads with N. Korea. Trying to get China to agree to actual fair trade. Pushing NATO to pull more of their own weight. The list goes on.

You make a great point though. Violent leftists are so busy denouncing him in the tabloids that you never bothered to actually learn anything about the policies hes pushing.

Those are goals, not policies. Policy is how you implement the goal.

Again, what policies? For example, what is Trump's policy on affordable health care? What does his plan look like, and how does he plan on implementing it?

I totally agree that anyone that relies on bumpersticker labels thrown about without actual consideration of appropriateness doesn't have the critical thinking skills necessary to realize their prejudice let alone their lack of intellect.

You do have the right to expect the other side to tell the truth and to be punished as severely as the false defamation requires.

    I respectfully disagree.

As far as I'm concerned you can say legitimately any combination of characters to me from A to Z, 0 to 9, + to ? - and I don't care. Sticks and stones and all that.

If you are wrong about me then I will defend myself with the truth.

The British brought propaganda into modern age during WWI. The Nazis and the Allies upped the art in WWII. Trump and Russia are going to new lengths with new technology.

So, I think you are 100% wrong. If we are what we eat, we think what we ingest from media etc. If you lie, you should monetarily die.
