Well - the right to speak the mind of her parents and likely religious leaders who brainwashed her.

 

The child is a product of brainwashing by her parents and likely religious leaders - justifying intolerance on the basis of logical fallacy.

Perhaps instead of teaching the kid that killing a zygote is "Murder" - they should teach her some biology. Religious zealotry is not science and staging on a pedestal making unsupported naked claims is not an argument.

Hopefully at some point this 13 year old girl will learn how silly, nonsensical, unscientific and fallacious her comments are.

That's going to happen anyway if the woman reports the crime, and wants it prosecuted.

Which is her duty, if she doesn't want another woman to get raped.

Some would argue that the genetics of the alleged rapist should also be taken into account when coming to the decision, and weighing the scales.

Especially if it's a child likely to be WANTED. (Certain categories of babies are very in-demand in the adoption market)

By not reporting it, she is LETTING another rape happen.

Unless she wasn't actually raped, which is likely the real situation.

I would say it depends on the exact circumstances of the rape.

If she was the victim of a serial rapist, and it was a brutal attack, I would say there is likely to be rape genes at play.
If it was just date rape, and the woman was letting the guy on, then probably not. Probably just an ordinary guy with genes not any different from anyone else. (It comes down to the whole nature vs nurture argument)

 

Probably truer than not. On the bright side, at least she isn't tattooed, pierced, sporting cotton candy hair, and carrying a sign that reads "vagina power".

They have a lot to do with each other.

If a woman doesn't report a rape soon after it happens, how do we know it was actually rape?
Might just be 8 weeks after intercourse and now she wants to get an abortion.

 

Not everyone believes that, so even if it wasn't true, it would still be relevant to our debate and the politics behind setting public policy.

 

That's not always true. Of course the rapist is always mostly to blame, but the woman needs to accept some responsibility for her part, in some situations.

You walk in a skimpy dress through a dangerous area alone after dark, you can't be that surprised something like that could happen.

 

That will happen when she rebels against the brainwashing. The pendulum most often swings from one extreme to the other - less often from one extreme to the middle.

One anecdote I recall from my youth was the kids who came from very religious back grounds - ones that forbid alcohol - would just get trashed to the point of religious fervor. When you keep something away from someone this creates an attraction/desire for it.
