The Blocking Statute led to the situation that USA had Sanctions on Cuba but had to ignore their own laws regarding that. Bush junior then even gave up on it completly.

There were talks to use the blocking statute on Iran as well but Merkel and Macron decided an islamo facist regime is not worth to use the sharpest sword.

The tanker is said to be drifting towards Iranian waters, I wonder whether they'll seize it (and whatever evidence) or the US Navy will try to tow it away.

The video is not very clear, it could be a bunch of Israelis disguised as those "Revolutionary Guards", but this type of outboard engine fast boat is known to be deployed by Iran, they've been filmed before.

All evidence clearly indicates the US flag was flying and clearly visible and that the hull of the USS Liberty was marked "GTR 5".

It is virtually impossible for trained pilots to have mistook the USS Liberty for an Egyptian transport. That it was a US vessel was OBVIOUS. And the evidence overwhelmingly proves this to be true.

The fact that German companies are too scared to trade with Iran is only because German leaders refuse to assert Germany's independence from the US. I'm glad that Germany is becoming more independent from the US, but the US still exerts massive influence over your political system. Germany is still an occupied country. You're moving in the right direction, but you've still got a ways to go before you're truly free of undue US influence.

Regardless of why Germany is not protecting Iran from sanctions, the fact remains, Germany is not protecting Iran from sanctions. That effort is failing and the Iranian nuclear deal is slowly unwinding, which is exactly what the warmongers in the US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia want to happen. Germany could salvage the deal if it were more assertive, but your political leaders choose not to out of fear of US reprisal. The US has over 30,000 troops occupying your country. You're more independent now than you were in the past, but you are by no means independent. And I say this as someone who wants to see Germany restored to its rightful place among the countries of the world.
