    What we have gained is oil prices not dictated by OPEC. You have to understand how world markets work to get that and apparently you don't.

    Obama did everything he could to stop oil but fortunately we have states with state rights that went their own way and got us into the new oil era. It is fun to watch Democrats suddenly turn all pro fossil fuel though and attempt to give Obama credit for more fuel that they say is warming our planet. So does this claim make Obama a good guy or a bad guy? LOL

    Great example of what our increased production has accomplished. No longer do we wring our hands in anguish over minor Mideast flare-ups and what that will do to oil prices.

    I've never figured out why the LW thinks drilling in the US is bad for the environment, but not drilling overseas.

    Don't kid yourself. If OPEC stopped selling oil the US oil companies would be exporting the gas right out of your tank to maximize profits.

    As per article in the OP, OPEC is disintegrating under pressure from the oil glut caused by increased US production so your hypothetical is like asking what happens if the moon falls out of the sky. Even at it's strongest OPEC could never stop production of it's life blood and any talk of that now is just wish full thinking on your part.

    I love how the left gets all concerned about saving our oil resources for future generations as they say using oil will destroy the planet for future generations. Pick a story and stick with it.

    No, I trashed fracking and showed the reason. I never trashed shale oil although it is more expensive to produce.

    Do you disagree with the graph I attached which is where I pulled my data from.
    If so post a source, and I never credited Obama with anything, I stated it occurred during mid way through his second term. Try again
