Yep. I think so too. They've had decades to stop the invasion of illegals and have done nothing.

It is outrageous that our politicians force us to pay for these people. It is really taxation without representation.
Many farmworkers are paid an hourly rate higher than California’s minimum wage—$10.00 or $10.50 an hour in 2017, depending on whether the employer has 25 or less, or 26 or more employees, respectively—and workers who are paid piece rates, which reflect how much they pick or prune, often earn $12 to $14 an hour. Many young male farmworkers aim to earn $100 a day, which is $12.50 an hour for an eight-hour day and $14.30 an hour for a seven-hour day
    https://www.epi.org/blog/farmworker...een-full-time-equivalent-and-actual-earnings/.

Their good wages (for the skill level) coupled with food stamps, free housing, medical, schools, etc. leaves them with a whole lot of money to send home.
    Besides:
". . . even labor-intensive agriculture doesn’t depend upon illegal labor—that’s just icing on the cake. In reality, the industry could get by without illegal workers since only four percent of American agricultural workers are illegal aliens, according to a report in the National Review.
At this moment there are roughly 23 million unemployed Americans, some of whom have experience in agriculture. On top of this, America has a massive problem with seasonal unemployment for its college students. Either way, there are more than enough Americans to fill the potential labor shortage.

The only reason Americans are not working in agriculture is because they are out-competed by cheap illegal workers. If you read this document published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, you will find that millions of Americans—of all races—currently work as janitors, laborers, and agricultural workers.

Stop with the rhetoric about how we would starve if not for the illegals. They are a detriment to this country in every way imaginable

Oh, that's totally going to be our future, once corporations are capable of creating space stations. The elite will be the first ones to leave, knowing they're the ones that generally caused the decline and took advantage. But by then, the damage is done and all those Leftist suckers that idolized them, will be the ones suffering. Even once they're up there, Leftists will still probably wish for hope and change=)

Another one who has fell for the right wing trash blog fantasy of slave wages. Unless you actually believe 80 grand a year is slave wages? If that is the case there is no help for you. Better get used to illegals building your homes.

Yeah, too bad the Framers didn't have sense enough to codify the right to consequence-free sex in the Constitution, innit?

If you're illegal and want free healthcare, you can have it.

If you're a citizen and dont want healthcare, you get taxed.

    Welcome to California.

I'm not one of those who thinks it's great having people, including children, dying avoidable deaths due to gun accidents and crimes.

Me either; but more to the point, I'm not one of those who think it's great having people, including children, dying unavoidable deaths due to the government having no fear of the populace.

That paranoid view is both unfounded and not even the reason we have the 2nd. We have it because the people at large were simultaneously this fledgling nation's military.

We don't even need to have guns codified as an artificial right in order for the people to be armed to a reasonable extent. It's not like people have no guns whatsoever available to them in every other free country around the world. They just have fewer of them, and fewer gun deaths and injuries as a result, and especially fewer mass shootings.

Of course it is, to those devoid of historical perspective and common sense.
    How very amusing.
Obviously not, since that would have remained the case absent 2A.
    Thanks for the gibberish.

I don't get how California will cover so many illegals when so many citizens go without healthcare coverage.

The governor/ legislature work on universal health care for every human being just like other states. Look at this article and discover what states have the best health care and those states with the worse health care: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/best-and-worst-states-for-health-care/

    6. Connecticut
    7. South Dakota
    8. Vermont
    9. Massachusetts
    10. Rhode Island
In contrast, Louisiana was rated the worst state for health care overall, with the highest heart disease rate in the nation, the third highest cancer rate, and a low number of dentists per capita.

The 10 worst states for health care include:
    1. Louisiana
    2. Mississippi
    3. Alaska
    4. Arkansas
    5. North Carolina
