Our economy doesn’t have enough room, nor do we have room for some of the scum that comes across that border with the more legitimate people.

That's an interesting question considering sanctuary cities and states are suing Trump to stop him from sending illegals to their cities and states.

All the illegals that are being held, who's paying for their food and medical care? If released into the country how will they survive? Do they have money, do they habla, do they have work skills?

What... the russkies and obstruction of justice did not pan out, so now you’re pinning all the Left’s vices on Trump?

    Nice :-|

Do you honestly believe that it is enough that we be little better than from where they came???

Overcrowding to the point where the cages look like dog pounds, with over six times the people than that for which they were built. Women refused sanitary napkins. People being fed as though they are on rations. Others outside, with little in the way of shade, in over 100 degree heat.

Facepalm me all you want. But I do believe that humane conditions are deserved by all of humanity.

Why would a migrant be in a 'holding centre'? Don't they just arrive at an international airport with all their approved and signed immigration documents?

So why are sanctuary states suing Trump to prevent illegals going to the safety and comfort of sanctuary states?

Our forefathers didn't come here with their hands out expecting everyone else to provide for them or else they start complaining.

If they're upset about the overcrowded holding areas in America, they should take my advice and jump on the rooftop of a train heading back to Honduras ....I'm guessing they aren't crowded at all!

You and the leftist propaganda machine paint a picture that is true and yet still incredibly inaccurate. They are being treated fairly well considering the stress this migrant surge is putting on the system. All of humanity does deserve humane conditions but we can't even provide that to all Americans, why the hell would we provide it to foreign citizens, many of whom have broken our immigration laws and many more who would if they could get out of their "cages?" The only realistic solution is to rework our immigration laws and enforce them, not necessarily in that order. The left doesn't seem to wanna fix a broken system, they just want to ignore it and that's....well, its criminal.

Mexico has a lot lower cost of living than the US for them to wait it out.

I don't know why the US can't outsource their holding facilities to the Mexican side of the border. It would make their budget stretch much much farther.

Heck, for the cost it costs to hold an immigrant in a US prison, you could be living like a king in Mexico.

Why should the US pay for them at all? If truly escaping tyranny, they should stop in the first country they come to. Remember this is NOT that. They're not only coming here to be fully supported by the American taxpayers but are purposely being lured her by the democrats with freebies to garner votes in upcoming elections. It's election FRAUD. If Americans don't wise up and vote them all out, their corruption will destroy this country in short order. This should not be a partisan issue.

ALL American's should be worried because the democrats are giving our country away simply bc they're desperate to find some way to stay in power.

They are suing him for revoking the Safe Release policy. His reason for doing so was petty - and he was cheered on, here, by many for doing so.

What is "open land" and why should we have an "open borders" for anyone to move to our "open land" at will, national borders notwithstanding? And why do you not make a distinction between legal and illegal?

So many tough questions, eh?

So all of humanity deserves it, but why the hell would we...? Either people deserve to be treated humanely, or they don't.

I agree that our system is broken. I agree that laws are continually being broken. But, sadly, most asylum seeking immigrants are being treated like dogs because that is how they are seen by many in America.

Let’s stop pretending that all of the illegals crossing the border are asylum seekers. No one actually believes that.

You're right, they're not. But let's also stop pretending that all people crossing the border are pond scum.

It is called prioritizing and we do that by taking care of our own first. They are not being treated like dogs mate, that's the left's propagandists talking. Are conditions rough? Sure, the system is strained beyond belief, due to an unprecedented migrant surge and this administration's change in course from the catch and release policies of the former administration. Asylum denial rates from central American countries are insanely high (around 80%) which would signify an abuse of the claim (obviously since you can claim asylum even if you crossed with no intention to do it legally.)
