True, you are correct. Germans are way overrated. And they are 0 for 2 when it comes to world wars. The EU's problems would be far fewer if Germany was thrown out of the Eurozone.

The German high command ignored its own G4 (logistics). Basically what transpired was exactly what the German G4 predicted. But they were ignored by both the high command and Hitler.

But you didn't have the "bombs".....the Sovs (impudent thieves) they are and traitorous swine in the Manhattan project enabled the savages their bombs.

You can thank Germans like Klaus Fuchs for your poppers.....same goes for your space program.....and reactive armor, and numerous others.....AK47 too.

Russians and "other " good guys? What other good guys. There was just the Asiatic vermin Russkis.....Brits, Americans, Canadians on the other.

If anything....after Hiroshima/Nagasaki....the US should've dropped the big ones on Moscow/Leningrad (what was left of it). The idea was definitely on the table. There would be been no cold war, Berlin Wall, Warsaw Pact, or any other Commie BS. Truman ****ed up on this one.....plant one right on Stalin's mug and no Moskva.

Think yourself lucky Germany rebuilt....you probably drive a beamer or Benz....with an Attack Berlin45 bumper sticker...LOL. And many of your "compatriots" call Germany home. Good salary, food, standard of living, etc.

You're just pissed Germany reunited and in NATO/EU....and all those 30 mln dead Sovs all for not!:)))

Well yeah....you had a "leg up"....but really couldn't keep it together.

Nahhh, New York/USA wasn't that much a threat.....and truthfully either of us never really had an "axe to grind" with each other.

We did great business GE/Henry Ford/Prescott Bush....it was basically inconvenient circumstances that brought USA into the fight, AKA Stalin crying for more and more aid to say the least.

The threat was the Sovs to the East. That Molotov/Ribbentrop a**wipe agreement was just to "buy time"....both sides knew it.

USSR inflicted the vast majority of losses on Wehrmacht. USSR played the principal role in the defeat of Nazis.

USA was very proficient in inflicting losses on Japanese civilians.

I was never a Russian and I will never become an American.

USSR's role in defeating the Nazis and their great sacrifice gives them enormous long term Positive Karma. Numbers 24:9

Germany has brought a curse on itself -- Numbers 24:9.

Russian revenge was for Soviet civilians. But the curse is from the Bible.

    Yes....the positive karma was marvelous.

Eventual crushing defeat for the sovs in Afghanistan.....followed by collapse of SU and Warsaw Pact....and all of them absorbed into NATO/EU. Couldn't be scripted better.

Yes, and after Kursk it was all over for Germany. It is true that D-Day did not decide the war, but it did keep the Russians from taking over all of Europe.

You know Teller? Nr. 2 in Manhatten Project? He said Germany was never intended as target.

Germany was to close to the bomb and they feared if they dropped it over germany and it malfunctions, we would reverse engineer it within days.

The uranium in the hiroshima bomb came from Germany after we surrendered.

    The Battle of Stalingrad (23 August 1942 – 2 February 1943)
The Battle of Kursk occurred in July 1943
    D Day June 6, 1944

    Connect the dots.
By 1943 the Soviet Steamroller was moving and D Day made no diff.

Maybe, but right up until the Battle of the Bulge failed Hitler did have hope that Stalin might make a separate peace and leave him in control of France and the Netherlands. Not likely, I'll admit but very few people would think that the war would end up with Russia and Germany being the main combatants in 1939 either.

Thing is, that STILL wouldn't have made any difference. The USA had THE BOMB by 1945 and literally nobody, noone or or nothing could stand up to that back then.

Those katyushka rocket launchers were on Ford Studebaker so...otherwise Soviets would've had to strap them on their backs, and would've been useless against Tigers and Panthers.

Hello numbnuts, how many times do I have to remind you that I live in Texas and was born in Texas? Your memory is just as bad as your low IQ posts. You're such an embarrassment that you'd be a good candidate for deportation.

Until WWI the Germans were regarded as a nation of academics; philosophers, poets and romantic dreamers. Nice people, but they'd probably NEVER get their **** together.

It was the Prussians you had to watch out for, but they were the only German speakers who weren't really, you know, German.

And if you threw Germany out of the Eurozone there wouldn't BE a Eurozone, not even if Britain was still in it.

Or they could mount them on their 50,000 T34s, which was more than a match for the best Tiger ever made.

And the Germans made less than 2000 of them with less than 10,000 tanks all told.

The T34 and the Russians won WWII

USA was inhumane to civilians in bombing Japan 1945, North Korea 1950-53, Southeast Asia 1965-73.

USA is inhumane to its own citizens who are dying by hundreds of thousands due to lack of medical care.
