@TurnerAshby Iggy- best on-the-ball defender on the team. The most reliable, all-around, player in crunchtime. That's why he won the NBA Finals MVP. Looney- defensively good AND offensively efficient whenever he's in the play. Bogut- more efficient on offense, now, since he was MVP of the Aussie league this year. McKinney- shoots ok and is 2nd behind Iggy as the team's best on-the-ball defender. Cook- shoots pretty reliably, but his defense is lacking. Just like Curry. And cousins was a non factor all year, but he's the reason the Warriors won game 2 in Toronto. Facts.
I think that several years ago the Cavs were also up on the warriors and the Warriors came back to win.
Actually, it was the opposite. In 2016, GSW has a 3-1 lead on the Cavs. Cavs won the last 3 games to become the first team ever to overcome a 3-1 deficit in The Finals.
We got us a very probable 7 game series, guys. I am such a bad predictor, but I'll say GS wins Game 6 at home, setting us up for an outstanding Game 7.

@Raffishragabash @Robert @Andrew Jackson Looks like Anthony Davis is headed to LA. ESPN was saying the oddsmakers are picking LA to win the title next year. I’m skeptical of that. What do you guys think?
I will say this: 1) GSW won't be the Top dog anymore in the West (w/o KD and Klay). Thus, with the West being wide open, I like the Lakers chances. 2) If the Lakers can acquire a good point guard via trade or free agency, I would say that they are West faves and at least an even shot to win NBA Title. Still, a lot of unknowns for LA. (New Coach, Team Chemistry, Etc.) It was a Big Plus for LA getting rid of Ball. (His Dad is a major tool).
If Kawhi goes to the Clips, it gets interesting. And Lakers still have a shot too, at the "K club" (KD or Kawhi or Kyrie) plus you have to factor in what a year of experience/going deep in the playoffs does to help teams for next year, like Nuggets Rip City Bucks (and especially Sixers ---if Jimmy Butler stays). I don't see how the Lakers can win it, if it's Lebron and 2 superstars who have never been deep in the playoffs before. Toronto in the NBA Finals was a great example of a team choking/suffering when players haven't been on the biggest stage before. IMHO if KD and Klay were healthy, that Toronto team we just saw, would only win a game or two in that series.
I don't see how this is possible. Ball is the one player who'd fit best, of all the young guys. He's a great passer he's super intelligent and he's the most unselfish/the most versatile young guy. He's priceless on the defensive end of the court ---which is most valuable, during late-round playoff games. I think his dad is a major necessity. His marketing and promoting, unorthodox style, is what has kept Lonzo relevant within his UBER-disappointing start to an NBA career. Nonetheless I think Lonzo's dad is most important, as a role model, for Black dads who have trouble staying within/staying involved in, their offsprings' lives.
I don't see the hilarity. Maybe it's because Lin was of no value to the Raptors playoff team. He has not played well, since April. Did he even play in the NBA Finals? 'Melo is a hall of famer, 1st ballot, so his chops cannot be busted. Plus he'll be on the Lakers when they get to the playoffs next year. Whereas Lin? Does he have to go thru life looking down at a championship ring, that he clearly didn't help win? Think about it; for the rest of Lin's life, he has to make himself into a 'punchline' when discussing his championship ring. He can't talk about that ring like Kawhi can or Kyle can or Pascal or Ibaka or Powell or Van Vleet can. No. He will have to make jokes about himself on that team, all because we never saw him out there/he did not contribute.
Obviously, getting Davis is huge for LA, but my concern for LA is that LeBron will turn 35 in December. He’s getting up into that age where injury becomes more likely, and a player just starts to fall off a bit.
Lin played 51 seconds in GM 3. DNP for the rest. Melo will go down as a great player who never got a ring. He may have already played his last NBA game. I have always wondered how he would've worked out if the Pistons had drafted him. Btw--Some guy named McCaw has has 3 rings in 3 years. https://ftw.usatoday.com/2019/06/nba-finals-raptors-patrick-mccaw-threepeat
The warriors were hurt badly this season. Winning every season is difficult. LA fired their coach and I do not believe he was a bad coach. They need far better players.
I do not see why the Warriors are not the top team for many more years. They were 1 point down until they fouled on purpose.
GSW can make another run AFTER next year. But, without KD and Klay next season--They will be lucky to get a good playoff seed.
