You can't seem to get anything right. Once single payer is implemented, it becomes the largest part of the budget. You seem to think it is free.

 

Another thing you get wrong. Private insurance has one of the lowest profit margins. You seem to think government workers that has zero interest in being efficient will be more efficient. Add in all the other costs that are not included like the IRS, facilities involved and the other government organizations and I will bet money that it ends up costing more.

Medicare A and SS are already the largest part of the budget. The difference is, it PAYS FOR IT SELF OUT OF DEDICATED FICA TAXES, and does not compete with anything else.
Once Medicare for all is enacted, Medicaid, Chips, and Medicare parts b-f etc....will no longer be needed and participants pay dedicated taxes for healthcare and will NOT come out of the general fund which is funded mostly but income tax.

A tax by any other name. One of the reason's Medicare's funding is eroding is because of the increasing cost of healthcare. That will not change unless government does what other single payer systems do. Ration equipment and care.

There are already two separate but not equal systems. If your in Medicaid (MediCal in Calif), you have to be seen specific doctors and facilities. Most likely not the ones you go to. I think that's what rubs them the wrong way. Why should WE get excellent service quickly when we work for our health insurance and they have to wait because they don't work for theirs but want the same service. Universal Health Care gives crappier health care to folks that work hard for better care now, and more expedient care for those that don't or won't work for theirs. It's typical class envy, they want what you have without working for it.

Universal Healthcare costs are paid from FICA for average worker donations, not the income tax. You’re income tax is totally unaffected by universal healthcare. Right now, we are paying out of general fund for Medicaid, chips and Medicare plus.
