Racism 101: the real reason Trump now won't put Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill

My point is, since it went over your head, is that you would rather choose a woman that's more attractive, like Ivanka over Harriet Tubman even though Harriet Tubman made a contribution to women unlike any woman in US history. Ivanka sells pocketbooks, perfume and rakes in $4 million dollars from her daddy's D.C. hotel so in your opinion she deserves to have her picture on a $20 bill instead of Harriet Tubman. So shallow, not a surprise.

 

I like Andrew Jackson on the $20 as irony. The man would have hated ending up on the banknote of a central bank, I find it hilarious. He spent his presidency fighting the Second Bank of the United States.

 

At a time of increasing national debt the last thing we should be doing is stupid things like changing our currency. Total waste of money.

I think currency should have only the faces of presidents on it. If blacks really want to, they can stick Obama on some bills. But then they shouldn’t get too upset for Trump sitting in some bills too.

I think we should put Samuel Jackson on a bill. He is an American treasure, plus it would look bad ass.

 

I don't 'love' objects, I do however, think it's time that this country acknowledges some of its every day Americans that made a difference for the good of the country.

 

Here's how the liberal mind is conditioned to work:

If someone wants to paint Air Force One with patriotic colors then the left argues the old colors are iconic, hasn't changed in years, recognizable by everyone and are part of tradition.

If someone doesn't want to change the look of a $20 bill because it's iconic, recognizable by everyone, hasn't changed since before AF1 even existed, is recognized by everyone and part of our tradition, then you're a racist.

BTW, why would anyone in their right mind post a story from CNN?

 

So if a person doesn't have an 'attractive' face in your opinion they have no value? That's so millennial of you. You've grown up watching too much Kardashians. Here's a news flash for you. Some of the people that have made enormous contributions to the world wouldn't have any value to you because they just wouldn't be 'attractive' enough for you to merit having their image on US currency. I would bet you won't even be able to identify three of the people below. All of which have played a significant role in the life of every American, some --- of everyone in the world.

Sure but there are lots of everyday Americans, and that has nothing to do with you preferring the ugly version of Tubman over the attractive version that I prefer. The real question is why do you prefer ugly over not ugly?

 

This has devolved into a fairly stupid argument. Look, if you want the ugly version of Tubman, go ahead. You guys will be back in power eventually. In fact, that should be a debate question for the Democrats next week; Ugly Tubman yes or no.

No. Its meaningless because it's so overused that no one even cares anymore unless they are trying to win an arguement they already lost.

 

People have talked about that point with US money. Some question why Franklin is on the $100 when he wasn't president. Others reply that there are a lot fewer $100 bills in circulation so most people will always have lower denomination bills on their person.

 

We'll never know since you never had a proper debate in this thread, and don't seem to be capable of it.
