Correct, Jon Stewart has been advocating the 9/11 1st responders for at least a decade and has been the front man for their cause. These simple facts always ellude such posters.

Who is denying that Stewart has been advocating for them?

Do you know why it required a celebrity for them to do the right thing?

The poster Spooky specifically stated Stewart was doing it for autographs. I presume you read that.

When have they not passed funding for the victims fund? As McConnell just said on Fox this morning of course this will be passed just as it always is, why Stewert is all upset is questionable.

IMO, the answer is obvious: yes, Congress is mostly a useless organization. Certainly it is a corrupt organization, perhaps useful for perpetual war and the bottom line of the corporations that are the benefactors of Congress.

The way that I saw it was that Congress acted immediately after he spoke. Isn't this the case?

With all due respect for first responders, but millions of people all over this nation suffer every kind of grievous affliction, day in and out. What makes first responders more valuable? it's not like they are conscripts. They are free men and women who've chosen their careers because it's honorable, full time work, with great early and retirement benefits, as well as good insurance. I'm not immune to anyones suffering. But why make poster children out of these?

You will never hear it discussed on mainstream media, but the cancers found in so many of those at Ground Zero are very much like, identical to in many cases, the cancers found among the survivors of nuclear events at Hiroshima and Chernobyl.

At WTC, the age of those effected was quite young, and the cancers found were cancers usually found only in older people.

There is a reason that molten iron was observed and reported for 90 days--there was a nuclear event at WTC, probably 3 given the hot spots recorded from satellite.

Well wasn't it "on Stewart's schedule" considering that Congress approved it immediately following his speech?
