That's not true. The wealthy are creating wealth for themselves by investing. They are not taking money from anyone.

JakeStarkey said: Our rich are competently and successfully bribing Congress to continue the income redistribution from low to high.
The legislatures create the investing, marketing, and banking laws.

Of course what I said was true. The more the tax load the middle class and working classes carry, the more the wealth redistribution goes to the rich.

The wealthy would love to have, like in Europe in feudal times, the peasantry pay the taxes.

The rich pay the vast majority of the taxes already.

In comparison to the middle and working classes, they pay almost nothing in relation to their life styles.

So what? I didn't know there was such a thing as a lifestyle based tax system.

So what to those who do not understand that they owe to the general welfare of all Americans for the privilege of living here in this incredible country of opportunity.

Just like you did for ACA, you will contribute to single payer and a restructured tax code that favors the middle and working classes: inevitable.

Tough. All Americans owe to the general welfare and prosperity of the country.

Get used to the idea, because we will all be living it very soon.

A more equitable re-adjusted tax code will be coming.

The middle and working classes will be paying less.

Only libertarian-minded individuals say wrongly that taxation is stealing.

In fact, those who oppose good tax laws are stealing from the country and their neighbors.

Every word of that was not only wrong but evil.

Libertarian is a pretty darn good thing.

What we need to do is cut the size of government drastically and lower taxes from everyone.

Paying off our national debt is by far the single biggest problem we have.

We are stealing from our children.

Republican strategy is to rob the people they demonize as well, and I note that the very first thing you criticise Lincoln for is freeing the slaves. Bringing back slavery has been a Republican wet dream for 150 years

The Ukraine famine WAS a real famine, It was a drought, the correspondent to the Dust Bowl in America, but Stalin made it much much worse than it naturally was. And this is pretty much EXACTLY what Trump did in PR. He's done literally NOTHING for them and governments are supposed to do disaster relief, not build silly walls.

Another load of bovine excrement without substantiation.

Investing does NOT "create wealth", it just increases the size of EXISTING wealth.

CREATING wealth means TAKING RISKS by starting your own business that in turn CREATES JOBS.

Furthermore the current RIGGED Wall Street Casino GREED SCAM is REMOVING wealth from the middle and lower classes thereby making We the People much poorer in the process.

Investors are not "creating" anything of any real worth for except for themselves. That makes them PARASITES sucking the life out of our economy.

Too many sweeping generalisations, some of the nonsense. Instance, the nature of what is invested in isn’t mentioned. Did every Silicon Valley start up investor not contribute anything to the growth of the IT industry? Where would the industry be without start up investors?

Venture capitalists are not the same thing at all as shareholders in well established corporations.

The risks involved by venture capitalists are much the same as the person(s) starting the venture that needs the capital. There is literally no guarantee of any return for a venture capitalist.

Compare that to someone who invests in Molson Coors shares where there is virtually no risk at all and a solid 30 year track record of dividend payouts.

Furthermore it was people like Bill Gates who "created" wealth by starting up Microsoft from nothing. Compare him to someone like Warren Buffet who was born into a family investment business. Gates has created millions of jobs whereas you would be hard pressed to find any jobs "created" by Buffet.

And yes, I did summarize this concept in my original post.

I am evil, you are saying. If you think that, fine.

We are not going to live in Deadwood or Virginia City or Somalia.

Because so many people agree with it. It's becoming the main statement of American politics

Unless the Senate comes to their senses and begins calling for Trumps's impeachment too then the Republican Party is DONE in 2020 . Americans don't like incipient dictators but they like that dictator's fawning toadies even less.

Excessive taxation is stealing. The federal government has very limited powers on what it can and cannot do, all of which is outlined in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution. Taxing people to support things outside of those powers can be, and should be, considered theft.

The people that hate Trump now are the ones who hated him election night 2016.
They are just angry that the policies of their messiah Obama were resoundingly rejected by the American people.

There is no limitation on taxation ( other that uniformity which is defunct since the passage of 16A) as defined in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution therefore your allegation has ZERO merit whatsoever.

Onus is entirely on you to PROVE that there is taxation for anything outside of what is stipulated.

The representatives of We the People decide the tax levels, thus they are not 'stealing.' You are not a constitutional authority, so your opinion is just that, for you. My opinion is that the Constitution has much vaster powers than you want to believe.
