This from someone who never has been able to reply with any substantive "pushback," only deflection.

These are sourced stories you can not refute. Your frustration with that fact comes through loud and clear.

I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Trump tried to end Russian sanctions when he assumed power.
Factions in the US military kept details of a program to compromise Russia's electrical grid from him over US security concerns.

Clearly you find dealing with the truth to be difficult.

    I'm confused.
"US intelligence officials are keeping President Donald Trump in the dark about details of a cybersecurity offensive against the Russian power grid because they're worried he might disclose them to foreign officials, The New York Times reported."

So they decided not to tell the POTUS, but than reached out to a NYT reporter to post this in the paper was the better option.

Is this like a "shhhh, don't tell donald, but everyone else can know" thing?

    doesn't make any sense

Very few people outside Trumpworld doubt this story.

And it hasn’t been denied by anyone other than a Trump tweet, which has no credibility at all.

The bottom line it that no one trusts Trump. He is not responsible. Not trustworthy, and not loyal at all.

He has already disclosed state secrets to the Russians.

And his blazing incompetence on all matters regarding foreign policy is evident.

The ongoing nightmare is the idea of having a moron like Trump, (or Bolton) and a series of inexperienced “actings”, being faced with a real crisis.

Such as, for example and Iranian crisis. (Which Trump’s idiotic bungling largely caused)

Or a Russian invasion of the Ukraine.

Yeah, that has been you knee jerk response to every story about Trump and his efforts with the Russians.

Sorry, but nearly all those stories you Trumpsters tried to write off with your “anonymous sources” meme turned out to be true.

I have little doubt that this one is true.

There is every reason to keep the toys away from this petulant little man child.

Thinks about it. Intelligence never told Trump because they were concerned that he would leak it and then it was promptly leaked by someone else.

If only they'd read the Mueller Report. It's the ultimate debunking of the majority of their claims.

This story by NYT is all too credible. Sorry if folks don't understand the large role of anonymous sources. This isn't the first incident of military/intelligence withholding information or clandestine activities from Trump. Trump has blabbed secrets in public (Israel's laptop incident) more than once. They don't trust the Moron in chief to handle security matters and neither would I.

The cyber attack on Russia by U.S. intelligence agencies would never be approved by Trump so they hid it. I wonder how much clandestine operations are going on under Trump's nose. I wonder how much secret or sensitive hardcopy has been snatched off Trump's desk? There have been many incidents of that. Things have been that way since the Moron took office.

This is a lousy situation all around, but it is what it is.

Yet, Trumpers choose to believe the pathologically lying Tweeter-in-Chief for reasons beyond understanding.

Actually the Mueller report showed all the anonymous sources news stories on Russia were false.

It ain't exactly "news" period, but the "Trump's in the dark" meme sure is "fake". https://www.politico.com/tipsheets/...e-obama-administrations-cyber-weaponry-221028 Obama tipped his hand 2 yrs. ago, and every news outlet in the country reported on it. Adm. Rogers refused to detonate Obama's cyber bombs in 2016, and Ash Carter & J. Clapper urged Obama to fire him for refusing. Paragraph 2 of the Politico article explains why the US has not launched a cyber attack. It's a matter of opinion as to whether it's legal, and whether it in fact is an act of war. Obama's legal advisors said it was a legal and appropriate response, but Rogers apparently wasn't convinced. There's zero chance Trump is in the dark, and even less chance the NSA / CIA cyber spooks will disrupt Russian networks without WH authorization.

So instead they gave it to the NYT to blab far and wide. Makes perfect sense. I wish to God we were playing that sort of hard ball with the Russians, but to anyone with a functioning brain it's pretty damn clear this is on one level or the other disinformation.

"US officials told The Times there was widespread hesitation within the intelligence and defense community about whether to brief Trump about the plan to deploy American computer code within the Russian grid out of fear that he would reverse it or reveal details about it to foreign officials."

Actually, the Mueller Report is a fairly complete, well documented and detailed of most of those claims.

Contrary to your false mischaracterizations. But this is a typical Trumpster response. Of course, for 99% of them, all they know about it is that Trump bellows “no collusion, no obstruction”.

:sleepy: https://thehill.com/policy/cybersec...-receive-orders-from-trump-to-disrupt-russian It's better when you get information directly from the source. Rogers is in the know, and he cleary indicates that the NSA is taking, and in this instance waiting, on orders from president Trump. You have a pretty vivid imagination if you believe the NSA is running a rogue cyber op while the DOJ is actively investigating their last rogue op.
