Not false, it says exactly what i said. We have festivals. Alot of them. But parades only in Nordrhein Westfalen. Carnival is a very regional thing as well.

And none of them has old zombies flying above you and throw candy on you with several hundred km/h.

Btw one of your festivals in Weimar is actually in my city. Its called Zwiebelmarkt. Funny it made it on an international side.

And whats the propaganda message? You are below us and only live because we feed you like pets.

Those old farts tried to stand higher than the people of Berlin and it was good this was not allowed.

As i said, when i want candy thrown at me i go at a festival. I dont want candy thrown on me against my will in the city.

Maybe that's because your circumstances have changed and those old pilots had a lot to do with effecting those changes. I'm guessing candy for the kids was as hard to come by as coal for heating homes.

I could name even more including in Berlin, your statement was false and the one I noted they throw candy to the kids.

I think you have your own ego problems, don't project them on the innocent children.

That's all fine and dandy, but I used the quote in regards to Germanies sins against mankind.. If you feel some remorse for what your country or ancestors have done then the quote can pertain to you too, it's meant for all mankind..

I try to explain and my english is hopefully good enough for it.

Germany is one of the richest countries in the world now. Germany also was one of the richest countries before the war. We have alot of pride.

There are some things that can anger people. For example when you treat them like statists in your show and throw candy on them,

Imagine you had a hard day at work and i show up and throw candy at you?.

    Again i try...

When i go to a festival and there is music and party i have zero problems with candy thrown on me.

When i walk in the city, minding my own business, i dont want candy thrown at me. And even less thrown from an airplane flown by an old zombie.

You understand what i mean? The difference that when i actively walk to a festival and the event where it is forced on me?

Its one of earliest things i remember my mother told me. Eat nothing from the floor. Propably you guys dont know that. Here when food falls down, you usually throw it away.

So if you drop your wrapped candy bar on the ground as you walk out of the store you throw it away? How stupid, your mother really taught you that? How about that bag of gummy bears, it hits the floor and you throw it away?

    Re:
There's even less positive you can say about individuals who are clueless as to Germany's contributions to music, literature, archeology, chemistry, engineering & countless other fields.

Perhaps there's a reason that Germany is the world's most popular country according to a recent BBC poll:

“BBC Poll: Israel Among World's Least Popular Nations”
    http://www.haaretz.com/news/world/bb...tions-1.525890

EXCERPT“The annual BBC World Service poll finds Germany most popular; only countries less popular than Israel are North Korea, Pakistan and Iran.”CONTINUED

You blocked the event because, and I quote you directly, you considered it "degrading". Imagine: A war and war aftermath memorial citing a practice intended to bring a little hope and brightness into the lives of children devastated by their parents insane tyranny, extended to them by the victors who by all rights should've had not a care for them at all, being called degrading.

I'd catch it an eat it and thank you for it. In American especially in the South we are taught manners and how to be polite to people being nice to you. Personally I found the same when I traveled to Germany, apparently I missed your really sad city or something.

I'm very aware of Germany's contributions go the arts and sciences but am also aware that, despite all of this, they still turned on the Jewish people, attacked their neighbors and were responsible for millions of deaths.

The point is that there may be successful composers, scientists, etc. but their culture still creates millions of jerks, and they're not difficult to spot. You attempt to divert the topic only makes my point.

So, okay. I'll give you that 6% - 10% of Germany were members of the Nazi Party. That leaves - I dunno, 80% - 90% of the population that were either working for Nazis in some capacity - y'know, like IG Farben and their use of slave labor to make Buma, sympathizing with Nazi's - y'know, like all those neighbors around the concentration camps who could hear the screaming and gunshots and wished they could join in, or collaborating with Nazi's in some capacity like, I dunno - the Hitler Youth.

It was a great time to be a member of The Master Race. For everyone else - not so good. Seig Heil, baby!

The last time I was there was in '89 when the wall came down and the Berliners were, without a doubt, the most rude and miserable hosts I've ever encountered. I was amused by it all and it made for some great stories, though hard to believe. Once you leave the major cities the people can be more friendly but there are no guarantees.

My stockbroker/financial adviser's daughter serves in the military and was - maybe still IS - based in Germany. The two of them said the same thing to me awhile back: We're not there to protect Germany; we're there to make sure they don't go all Nazi Party on us and taking over large parts of Europe again.

If you are familiar with post war germany, people had to eat from the floor.

The Allies in WW2 should have let the Nazi's and Soviets fight it out, and then came in and eliminated the victor.

Imagine how those old pilots feel reliving some of the best days of their lives. I'm going out on a limb and guess you weren't one of the kids the original candy drop was for? I would bet that even in all the new prosperity there are still some old Germans that were kids in Berlin and cheered the pilots then and now as they too remember what was. Anyway, sorry you were offended, truly.

Meanwhile in Germany, the media isn't covering the beheading of an infant, and Merkle is doing her best Hillary impression.

Good grief the TDS is strong!

Trump has nothing to do with this topic, and yet here he is.

No, i see that today as degrading. Do you think German kids are in need that someone has to throw candy on them?

    Our cultures are obviously different.

What role do we play in this "memorial"? Just objects that serve to make you feel good?

The media did report the beheading of an infant, which was not german btw and Merkel had a blood pressure collapse. Contrary to Clinton she did not fall and continued on as our anthem was played.

I understand that, but would it not better to arrange a meeting between them and some of the kids who are now grandparents themself? No big show. I think it would be much better symbolism.

Candy is wrapped and in the grass for crap's sake.
I think you're being a little over the top with the "feeling degraded" stuff.
