As promised, Trump slashes aid to Central America over migrants

You hit the nail! Here we are, wallowing in debt that is only getting far worse every year -- under BOTH Republicans and Democrats -- and we have to go on shovelling out welfare and "aid" to third-world shithouses like those of Central America?! Bullshit!

Oh, and anybody who advocates making Puerto Rico the 51st state should be dragged out and drowned in the Atlantic Ocean! Is there any way that we can give that stinking pile of parasitic crap back to Spain...?

 

This is simply stupid beyond words. In the case of DACA we're talking about kids we've already invested in and many are now at the point that they're ready to give back, become tax payers and productive members of American society you want to send them away? WTF is wrong with trumpers? They can't all have legitimate and massive brain damage.

 

That's what we've been told over and over.
Why is it that they have such economic problems? Couldn't be because investors are afraid of the natives, the violence, the communism these countries cry for.

The best possible outcome for us would be for our neighboring countries to be prosperous and economically self sufficient. It's in our best interest to help those countries to that end. Plugging your ears and yelling, holding your breath, or stamping your feet (while common trump solutions) won't stop all the things you hate about the poor. There's exactly 2 ways to halt illegal immigration: our neighbors raise their standard of living to our level or we lower ours to theirs.

 

Could be because of the years of rampant corruption fueled by and enhanced by covert US operations and businesses in those countries.

 

They don't even need to be to our standard of living.... just get somewhere in the parking lot of the ballpark, plus have general safety...

OK, now for about the 1,000th time -- LEGAL, controlled immigration, according to long-established procedures is just FINE with me and many other Conservatives. Uncontrolled, chaotic, illegal 'border crashing' should be stopped COLD by any means necessary, including using the military, armed surveillance drones, and selective use of lethal and non-lethal antipersonnel devices. But, that doesn't fit in well AT ALL with liberal Democrats' inclusive, diversity-oriented 'world-view'.... So, our borders will continue to be assaulted and buried in uncontrollable third-world criminals and other sewage... and that's just FINE with America-hating radical Democrats.

Truth? This was just good, rousing stuff for his re-election campaign which starts today in Florida. Don't get me wrong -- I'd like to see every single stinking illegal alien in this country rounded up at gunpoint and deported FORTHWITH. It didn't happen under Ronald Reagan, and it sure as hell isn't going to happen now. But, yeah, it's a good 'thought' that resonates well with people who love law, order, justice, the Constitution, and a few other things that more and more Americans simply don't care about any more....

 

That doesn't fit at all with ANYONE with a modicum of human decency. Also, I can tell you from first hand experience that many of the people coming here illegally are anything but sewage. Many of them are hard working family men - a characteristic that I admire in any person. We need more of that here not less...
Anyway, I think that if I were in their position I'd likely do the same thing. Lucky for me that I won the birth lottery.

If they're such 'fine, upstanding' people, then SURELY they'd be applying for LEGAL immigration, observing our laws and procedures all the way... right...(?). That would be fine... but unfortunately that is NOT what we have seen at our borders. We don't need any more law-breakers and other criminals -- we already have a bumper crop of them! And we don't need any more little illegal alien piggies sucking on Mama Pig's welfare teats, either... because we've already got a bumper crop of those, too.

 

I wouldn't. The LEGAL immigration system is woefully inadequate. I agree that they shouldn't be eligible for public assistance, but if they want to come here and work? I say let'em.

 

Regardless of what you do and do not have to pay for, this move by Trump may only make matters worse, not better. These people are starving and are at the mercy of some bad people so this slashing of aid cannot be helpful and will only result in a larger exodus.

 

It's impossible for the U.S. to solve the World poverty problem...

 

Yet, there are people much worse off in other parts of the world. You can send them as much money as you want if you really care about them.

 

Of course, it is impossible for the US to solve the World poverty problem, but Trump is making it worse, not better by slashing aid to
these impoverished countries.

 

So now you want us to pay for everyone in the world that might not have jobs? How generous.

 

Starving what a bunch of BS, Ethiopians are starving these trekking 500 plus miles somehow have belly fat. Typical BS statement by a lefty. There isn’t one damn reason to send money to these countries governments. It never sees the people’s pocket period.

 

Ok, we've invested in them. So now that those kids have seen the light, what better way then to seed a foreign country full of productive tax payers. Perhaps the more and more we send back, the faster and faster those dumps will turn themselves around. A never ending flow of money from the US doesn't seem to be stopping the never ending and extremely dangerous flow of illegals.

 

Prove to me the bad people you speak of aren't sprinkled in with the hoardes. This might not make much news where you live, but do you know that an illegal brings a little kids across the border with him and that's how he gains entry, and then the kid goes back and returns with another adult, and then goes back and returns with another adult......
