    Why?

For starters, time and time again (and I have seen many speeches), Uncle Joe is well spoken, down to earth, and gets to the point. Without being over the top and brash. The contrast on how Joe treated the late John McCain in comparison to that of Trump is staggering. I honestly believe Joe can make America civil again.

Joe has four decades of experience that make him more than qualified, beside serving for a president that was pivotal in our countries history. Sanders appeals to progressive (my) ideals, but Joe appeals to a middle class audience. Let’s be real. Only Sanders or Biden have a chance at the White House next year.

I invite Republicans to come up with a better argument than to try framing Joe as a sexual predator, a creep, or someone who goes after little girls. Those are scare tactics, not meat and potatoes. Additionally, don’t paint Joe as a third term of Obama. He is not, nor acts like Obama. But I guarantee to the point of betting money you will. Stop embarrassing yourselves with such spin.

It’s time to put this brash, over the top, grotesque bedside manor to bed. Learn how to come together again, not bully others around or stomp all over vanquished opponents, dead and alive. To act like a adult abroad, to represent the highest office in the land. The civility test for Joe was when he spoke at McCains funeral last year.

Joes potholes will be Obama’s shortcomings in office. How Joe answers for those may hold or change my preferred candidate.

I don’t support candidates off emotion, I support them with rationale to back it up. And if the election were held tomorrow, I would vote for Joe Biden. A vote well spent for the reasons stated above l.

    For now.

I think it's a shame Mayor Pete is Gay. The guy is smooth. He and Harris both talk well off the cuff.
But I kinda like a Biden / Harris ticket. It would be a treat to see her debate Snow White.
But I must admit I might never stop smiling if the gay guy beat Trump. :)

Yes joe biden is such a polite and well mannered gentleman.

Hey did you know that he supported segregation on buses?

    Such a fine distinguished gentleman.

Did you know that he likes to “prostitue” himself to all the super wealthy elite?

What a real statesman. A real man of the people.

Did you know that he voted in support of the iraq war?

Such a smart man and good natured man. He’s not evil like that nasty donald trump.

There are a few Democrats who could run against the swamp. Gabbard is at the top. It won't happen, though. She'd make deals with them. She'd allow them to run her.

Some Republicans could hold off the swamp. Paul, Jordan, Gaetz, Nunes, and Meadows.

Trump promised to drain a swamp, ended up creating his own everglades. But we don't need to go into all the alligators that have emerged out of this administration, do we? Hopefully not, if not to derail the thread.

And how many wives has Joe had? Not three, and not a trophy wife either. One. And his wife works in medicine, never has in porn.

How many affairs did he have while his wife was pregnant? None.

How much money did Joe try siphoning out of his dads account when his dad passed? Zero.

None of those are true. But it is true for Trump. And that's the point of this thread. None of the shady underbelly Trump has formed over the last forty years that he carries around should come close to occupying the White House. We need class. I dislike the fact that he voted for the Iraq War, that's the appeal I have for Sanders.. But I don't think even people who voted for Bush Jr twice liked everything he did.

We don't need any more life establishment politicians as president, especially in the coming election. We need someone who will actually change Washington from the inside out like a virus plus has the intelligence to deal with our actual current problems in the 21st century. Andrew Yang offers solutions and has experience as an entrepreneur and he's an actual progressive. All the boxes are ticked. Biden is a regressive, he is not actually for the middle class and I really don't understand why anyone is still considering him.

As top choices go from 1st to third, it's Yang / Tulsi / Bernie. My dream team would be Yang/Tulsi. Tulsi could deal with the military industrial complex as she knows it from the inside out and has been fighting that fight since she's been in office and Yang literally has hundreds of well thought out plans with results being at least on par with his ideals, even as a progressive, at the core he's a pragmatist. If you are for the middle class you have to deal with the root causes of our major issues first, not regress backwards as Biden would have it go.

The reason Bernie is last of the three is because he puts his ideals above the actual solutions and that is a problem.

I am talking about Biden. It seems the disconnect from reality is the same for Biden supporters as it was for Hillary supporters.

From you I'm not surprised. So, with all the video evidence you claim framing Biden as a sexual predator is a scare tactic, yet how loud did you scream Trump was a sexual predator for a 10 year old locker room comment? How loud did you did you get about Trump/Russian collusion while you ignore the fact that China owns him and his son. How are we expected to follow whatever gun control scheme he comes up with when idiots who listened to his self defense suggestions got them arrested or very close to it?

how about the fact that Biden said so many stupid things that Obama ended up making sure he kept a very low profile for much of his admin and you rarely see him in public now for the same reason. The guy is a walking, talking gaffe machine.

The OP does a fair job in their remarks for supporting Biden. If you take Biden's position then you are for open borders, more taxes, free abortion, Obamacare, outlawing coal, corporate taxes, and all the socialist programs and economic restrictions on our country. If you are for all that then Biden is your man. We are free to support whom we wish. I'll take Trump's proven positions because I can see they MAGA.

All of that and also with Barack “Logan act” Obama jet setting the globe trying to cover up spygate, we don’t need him to have a shoe in at the White House.

And yet... here we are, discussing how the country is in a political crisis.

40 years to make a positive impact, but NOW if he gets another four, he'll do some good?

    Okie dokie.

    No career politicians, thanks.

Luckily for you, the DNC has already decided for you, so sit back and relax until the general election.

The Dems are having their first debates on (I believe) the 26 and 27. I will watch them with interest.I think the strongest candidates are Warren, Harris, Buttigieg, Biden, Klobuchar, and Sanders, I see O'Rourke, Ryan and Swalwell as outliers. I believe Sanders will start to fade as younger progressive replace the old socialist. Biden? Dunno. Looks like the past. just MHO.

Balto, let me explain to you why you are so wrong.

Many in the GOP dont care what you think of them. They dont care if they look like a holes. They care about results and getting their policies pushed through. Trump is the epitomy of this philosophy and at least on the surface, a fighter for conservative causes. He is a flawed man indeed. And the late night tweets and name calling is pretty outrageous, but thats just trump using the bully pulpit. We just havent seen a president use that power in a long time and we arent used to it.

But you seem to be fixated on biden because you think he is polite, well mannered, and a decent individual. You haven’t discussed any of his policies or his voting record when he was in congress. Biden is banking on people like you to think of him like you remember obama. And here lies the major problem with democrats like biden. He wants you to think he will bring back normalcy and civility to washington. And this is why democrats always lose. They look like pansies by trying to appeal to republicans. They want you to think they are above partisonship and are willing to do deals and compromise rather than fight for what voters want them to do. Its the same failed strategy hillary clinton did in 2016 and now we have it again in 2020. Biden is a guranteed loser if he becomes the nominee. The election of trump proved that the status quo is done. The rise of nationalism and socialism are major indicators that politicians like biden arent long for the political arena anymore.

Also why are people riding dead mccain’s nuts? He helped sell the iraq war lie. He helped push for war in syria that caused all the mass migration into europe. Dead mccain supported terrorists. He voted against repealing the ACA to spite trump. Also he gave is sarah palin. Do i need to say anymore?

Lot's of vapor. Tell us please exactly what has Trump done to improve you lot or that of your friends and neighbors. I attended a large town hall meeting recently in a predominately Republican area. The stuff that came out was a combination of expected and shocking.
    Q. How many here saw a benefit from Trump's tax cuts?
    A. Ten people raised their hands.
    Q. How many of you believe trump tells the truth?
    A. Nobody.
    Q. How many of you plan to vote for Trump in 2020?
    A. About 30%
    Q. What is the main issue for you?
    A. Health care.
    Q. How many of you with company health insurance would give it up for medicare?
    A. 80% would.
    Q. Is the environment a concern to you?
    A. 60% yes.
    etc.
And the beat goes on. Republicans didn't show for any of the three town halls I saw or attended. Democratic senators or political leaders attended and they were taking notes. This how you win -- you listen, listen, listen to the answers for open ended questions. You care what people think.

That's why the Democrats and Independents are winning, winning, winning. They have learned -- scrap your preconceived notions and just listen. You're there to learn, not to teach. Let Trump teach at his rallies.
