    Do you think with the lackluster performance of these primary dems, that a third party candidate is more or less likely to emerge?

    Is that a law? If I'm paying government taxes I get to complain regardless if I choose to sit out because I feel the candidates are dog shizz

    I think Dems best choice is either Bernie or buttijudge and in both instances I don't think they can bet Trump

    How's it ridiculous? Happened in 2016 .... The only people who have no right to complain are foreigners and others who don't pay taxes

    I highly doubt that those who didn't vote are complaining about Trump to begin with. Most of Them don't pay any attention to politics. Perhaps knowing only Trump is president. Other things are much more important than who control congress and who is president.

    As for me, I haven't complained about Trump being president although I don't care much for the obnoxious oaf. Trump or Clinton, it didn't matter to me and still doesn't. My disdain for both candidates was so high that I had to make it to the polls to officially register my vote against both. For me candidates matter, I wasn't about to vote for anyone whom I deemed would leave this country in far worst shape once they left office than when either first entered office. Candidates matter.

    From what I have observed so far, Democrats are the one's complaining, Republicans praising Trump. Some independents are anti Trump, some pro Trump and others neutral. Matter of fact 15% of all independents state they neither like nor dislike Trump and another 16% say they're not sure. They themselves don't know if they like or dislike the man. Probably to them he is just there and they're not paying any attention to Trump. Question 54.

    I am referring to people like those that went to that trump protest and the media talked to many and asked if they voted and they said 'no'

    the point is, get out and vote or others will choose for you

    It doesn't look like it, as of now anyway. That could change. You'll have your normal third party candidates, Libertarians, Green Party, Constitutional Party, but none of those are close to being viable.

    On average 45% of all eligible to vote Americans don't in a presidential election. That goes up to 62% in the midterms. Now just because they don't vote or voted third party doesn't mean if they voted they would have voted for your candidate either.

    CNN exit polling as third party voters whom they would have voted for in just a two candidate race, no third party candidates on the ballot in 2016. They answered 19% Trump, 16% Clinton along with 65% stating they would not have voted.

    https://www.cnn.com/election/2016/results/exit-polls

    That means roughly 6 million people thought it important enough to go vote for a candidate with no chance to win so they could vote against both major party candidates. It didn't make a difference, but at least their voice was heard. Not that anyone paid attention to it. Perhaps only numbers guy like me. Here's the percentage of those who voted third party.
    2016 6.0%
    2012 1.5%
    2008 1.2%
    2004 1.0%

    2016 had a four fold increase over 2012 and six times more than in 2004 due to the total dissatisfaction of the two major party candidates. I suppose if you don't like both major party candidates, in our two party system, there is really no reason to vote unless you want to make a point.

    I use logic... if one is protesting Trump, and did not vote, the assumption is they woudl not of voted for Trump

    Dems should just be happy if Trump leaves Washington in 2025 and doesn’t take a third term.

    Don't they usually get just more hysterical, like toddlers? If they're anything like the Proglodytes we have here, they're incapable of working with the Other Side to improve relations, if not actual policy.

    Do you think that will happen, though? I have heard that a huge percentage of your working and poverty class Left doesn't bother. Apparently it's almost to the point where only the elites vote.

    Yeah, how bizarre was that. Actual protesters who didn't vote. You have to wonder if they were on day release from institutions.

    Fine, but as I stated, I highly doubt that many who didn't vote are protesting against Trump. Sure, you'll have a few. But most who didn't vote really don't care who's president. either that or they don't or didn't care enough to go vote.

    Personally, I don't see where this guy Bakari Sellers came up with the idea that if the election were held today that Trump would win. The numbers show exactly the opposite. Here's the head to head match up's.

    Here’s what Quinnipiac is showing:

    Former Vice President Joseph Biden over Trump 53 – 40 percent

    Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders over President Trump 51 - 42 percent;

    California Sen. Kamala Harris ahead of Trump 49 - 41 percent;

    Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren tops Trump 49 - 42 percent;

    South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg edges Trump 47 - 42 percent;

    New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker by a nose over Trump 47 - 42 percent.

    https://poll.qu.edu/national/release-detail?ReleaseID=2627

    Fox News shows the same thing.

    Biden 49, Trump 39 Biden +10

    Sanders 49, Trump 40 Sanders +9

    Warren 43, Trump 41 Warren +2

    Harris 42, Trump 41 Harris +1

    Buttigieg 41, Trump 40 Buttigieg +1

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/fox-news-poll-6-16

    This isn't even getting into the favorable/unfavorable's, job approval/disapproval and a lot of other variables. I think this guy is all wet, either that or he failed to look at the numbers and just wanted to make headlines.

    The numbers may well be right. But we - geez, how do I put this? Look up Statistikhengst then look up many of his threads just before the election where he posted numbers with Trump behind by at least ten or so. I'm also pretty sure he said in several of his threads that the electoral map was waaaay against Trump winning. He kind of ended up looking - well, not so good after that. Not that he wasn't the ONLY Wishful Thinker here, but my point is, these numbers really mean nothing right now - nothing at all. Heck, anyone who says Biden is a lock even for the Dem nom needs his head examined. No one is a lock for anything this far out.
