A voucher is a subsidy as is public education in government-run schools, so I don't understand the point you're making about vouchers.

The reality is that lower- and middle-income parents, typically younger adults just getting started in their working lives, can't afford to educate their children without a subsidy. If we withdraw those subsidies, we'll see the birthrate drop even more and have even more pressure to bring in immigrants.

If we don't make vouchers for enough money, parents will still be demanding space in government-run schools that are the essence of socialism.
