So, it's your theory that the Republican House and Republican Senate were sitting there waiting for Obama to write bills for them to pass? Obama took a significant step forward with healthcare. Then, under his administration congress created a bipartisan immigration reform act that fully covers the immigration isues we have today. And, it was passed in the Democratic senate. It failed because Republican speaker Boehner refused to let it come to a vote in the House - when the whip count showed it would PASS Both these problems have been at the top of the lists of problems America needs to solve. Yet, all we're seeing today from this administration is partisan bloviating.
The only President that sent Americans to concentration camps was Democratic FDR. Illegal aliens broke our immigration laws and are not citizens. Educate yourself.
The approach we're taking today is pretty much guaranteed to not succeed by ANY measure you could possibly contrive. Repeating over and over that "It's the law" has never solvd anything, let alone immigration.

Just out of interest, because I read that 2,000 people were initially to be targeted and then I read that there were appproximately 10 million illegal immigrants in the country. How long do you think it will take to arrest them all?

How about local governments turning them over to ICE when they are found out like during traffic stops, or when applying for non-citizen driver's licenses, etc. See how that works?
Yes, that's a strong point. With Trump redirecting ICE toward the general public I think we could be nearing the point where we're not going to tolerate what is sure to appear as a war against Hispanics. We seem to be able to tolerate border violence, even when children are kidnapped. But, when that starts happening in our communities my bet is that more will be faced with the truth of it. I don't believe Trump has increased hate enough for us to ignore these techniques when applied to those who are productive citizens and classmates living among us. When our cities see this happening within their borders they become sanctuary cities. Or, so I hope!
Nonsense. Democrats passed Obamacare in bipartisan committees in the House and Senate. Democrats pass the immigration reform act through the Senate - another bill created in bipartisan committee that included near unanimity among Dems. I think you are confused by the fact that problems have more than one solution, that congressmen don't all hold each problem as equally important with other ongressmen, and that this is a campaign season where canidates are working hard to differetiate themselves.
Seriously??? We do NOT catch all criminals. We do not fund policing, investigation or courts such that they could POSSIBLY address all criminals. We fund law enforcement to a level that keeps the crime rate within certain bounds.
Yes. Republicans agreed that they would make a political statement showing they still had power after their spectacular election fiasco. So, congressmen were directed to vote against it regardless of their own assessment. BFD. The thing is, throughout the process of creating that bill Republicans had full representation on committees working that issue and they were free to report progress when they wanted to. Let's remember that after the bill progressed to the point where it could be modified only by amendment there were over 160 amendments proposed by Republicans and passed into the bill. That shows that Republicans were very clearly engaged in the process of creating this bill, being active and constructive committee members, and that Democrats (who were in the majority) were open to Republican contributions. In fact, the very foundation of the bill came from Republicans who were working on a counter to what was called "Hillarycare" during the Clinton administration. Obamacare follows that template closely, including the requirement for people to become insured We haven't seen such a stupid partisan divide as we see the Republicans running today.

If you expect the government to fix the list of "problems" you list then you must believe in the Easter Bunny. Maybe if they stopped holding hearings and news conferences on their "list of evidence" on how Trump colluded with the Russians they could get down to work on the infrastructure.
