    Start of progress towards what? You think Iran had turned over a new leaf?

    It wasn’t a deal with the USA. You want any kind of permanent deal it better involve more than a few elite power brokers. Like maybe involve Congress or something crazy like that. If Trump made the same deal you would rake him over the coals.

    No treaty signed by any American president has any legal or morally binding authority over the United States until it is ratified by the U.S. Senate. Until the U.S. Senate verifies a treaty, there is literally nothing to break.

    President Obama didn’t require Iranian leaders to sign the nuclear deal that his team negotiated with the regime, and the deal is not “legally binding,” his administration acknowledged in a letter to Representative Mike Pompeo (R., Kan.) obtained by National Review. “The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is not a treaty or an executive agreement, and is not a signed document,” wrote Julia Frifield, the State Department assistant secretary for legislative affairs, in the November 19 letter. Frifield wrote the letter in response to a letter Pompeo sent Secretary of State John Kerry, in which he observed that the deal the president had submitted to Congress was unsigned and wondered if the administration had given lawmakers the final agreement. Frifield’s response emphasizes that Congress did receive the final version of the deal. But by characterizing the JCPOA as a set of “political commitments” rather than a more formal agreement, it is sure to heighten congressional concerns that Iran might violate the deal’s terms.

    You know who else didn't sign it? Americans representatives in Congress.

    Even Democrats didn't want it.

    So embarrassing.

    When the military puts together a plan for an attack a body count assessment is always included. The idea of Don having to ask for the assessment minutes before the attack was going to be executed, instead of being told before he made the decision, is preposterous.

    Yes, the US is beginning to be seen as the modern day version of the Boy Who Cried Wolf.

    The entire world knows that when Pompeo noted "we lie, we cheat, we steal" was rather a Freudian slip, and for once in his life he told the truth.

    The solution is simple: Declare war, use whatever military power is necessary (I prefer Nukes; they’re quicker) to bring Iranian mothers and fathers to their knees, with blood and tears streaming down their faces and falling on their dead children they’re holding in their arms, screaming “Enough! We surrender.”
