No, Sandy, nothing about "Clinton, Bush, Obama" is ancient. On the contrary -- and I said this as plainly as I know how -- if it hadn't been for Idiot Bush and Idiot Obama, we never would have had the situations in either Iraq OR Afghanistan, and it is highly likely that we wouldn't have this situation with Iran today.

But, nevertheless, I provided a simple, relatively fool-proof solution to the current Iran problem. Thermobaric weapons. The insane Muslim priesthood that rules Iran can thump its chest, wave scimitars in the air, and huff and puff, but it cannot (CANNOT) stop the U. S. from delivering thoroughly devastating, regime-ending attacks with thermobaric weapons anywhere in Iran we wish. Do you really not know this...?

And the right would have us lose American children due to a shot down piece of equipment.

At the same time, just send them a bill...WTF. Material plus labor to rebuild x10, and send in someone to collect their data....In the mean time have a strike force on stand by.

Trump's Neville Chamberlain approach to Iran after she destroyed a $130 million dollar piece of equipment is getting downright embarrassing. I was watching the President as he made these statements. It was painful.

“The fact is we’re not going to have Iran have a nuclear weapon,” he said as he left the White House for a weekend at Camp David. “And when they agree to that, they are going to have a wealthy country, they’re going to be so happy and I’m going to be their best friend.”

Iran already agreed to nuclear disarmament. Trump destroyed the agreement. This is insanity. Did he forget that part?

Later he said Iran will be hit with unspecified new sanctions on Monday.

Our President is mentally ill, no doubt about it.

 

My point is this thread is not the forum for your theories from the past. Each was a complex issue worthy of its own thread. You wish to start one, be my guess, but this thread concerns Trump and Iran, and that is complex enough.

Moreover, you seem to be saying Clinton, Bush, and Obama are partially responsible for the mess Trump got us into. I am weary of that ludicrous argument from Trump's fans. It is always someone else's fault, never Trump. Trump got us into this mess and he is responsible for doing so, not Clinton, not Bush, not Obama, and not Nancy Pelosi, just Trump.

The Obama/Kerry agreement was one that allowed Iran to FORBID inspections (totally!) at any place in Iran that the Iranians UNILATERALLY declared to be "military". To you understand that? The Iranians were belly-laughing scornfully about this less than a week after they signed the agreement.

Where do you think that Iran would continue their pursuit of nuclear weapons...? Someplace where 'inspections' could never occur? Do you want some genuinely insane Muslim priesthood to come into possession of thermonuclear hydrogen bombs and ICBM's to send them anywhere on the planet?

Five days later, on May 10th, Trump ordered a second display of force: the U.S.S. Arlington and a battery of Patriot missile systems would join the Abraham Lincoln.

The U.S. military provoked the incident involving the RQ-4. The military sent up a drone to spy on Iran, and it was spying on Iranian facilities and military bases when it was shot down.

I haven't really been following the Iran crisis closely because I don't watch the news much. But, I read in this thread that Trump sent ships over there. I like that idea and would have done something similar if I was in Trump's shoes. So they float around for 6 months and then come home when there's no escalation.

As for your last, I hope we keep it that way, and, oh, BTW, ballistic missiles are not used against ships. Cruise missiles are used for that purpose, of which, Iran has plenty. Some of her fast boats are equipped with cruise missiles. Their target, enemy shipping.

You don't know what they were spying on. I would suspect they were watching to see if they were sending their attack boats out into the Gulf. I will never understand why you take Iran's side in this.
