First we need to secure our borders and port of entries even if it takes putting the Army on the border.

In fact all immigration should be stopped until our borders are secured.

After over thirty years after the IRAC Act of 86 the Democratic party has made it very clear, they want open borders, uncontrolled immigration and basically **** canning U.S. citizenship.

The Democratic party is no longer nationalist but internationalist, a world with no borders allowing the free movement of people.

You realize the crisis at the border, due to Dems refusal to fund border security, isn't about refugees, but illegals, and potential asylum seekers....asylum seekers aren't the same as refugees. If they did what refugees did we wouldn't be having this problem.

When people are under direct threat of death/war/famine, they do NOT travel across several safer nations to reach one with cushier benefits. They stop at the first safe harbour (which is precisely why refugees are defined thusly). As soon as they set foot out of that first safe harbour, they loose refugee status and become economic migrants.

If you want to stop that massive influx of economic migrants, and focus your efforts instead on refugees, you're going to have to build your wall.

 

America has no refugees or asylum seekers entering under their own steam, because America has no borders with nations designated as war or famine zones (etc). Unless they're coming from Syria or some other recognised source of refugees, they are economic migrants.

 

No such thing in America unless you're flying them in from Syria or famine stricken Africa.

 

Are either of those bordering America? If not, then no deal. America is not their 'nearest safe habour'.

 

They are if they're not refugees. And they ain't.

I have friends who waited two years on some festering island .. living in shacks. They wouldn't have dreamed of coming in illegally, they were happy to just be out of the war zone.
