Honestly I think Biden would be better off without Obama's endorsement. "Obama" is toxic to just about everyone other than the extremist leftists, the plantation blacks, the race-baiters, the white-haters, and the rest of the Antifa types. Promising to be Obama 2.0 didn't help Hillary ---- in fact I think it may have pushed many moderate Democrats to hold their noses and vote for Trump, as well as influencing Independents away from Hillary. I favored Hillary over Obama in 2008. But when she dusted herself off to run in 2016 as Obama 2.0, hell would have had to freeze over before I'd have voted for her.

I guess you missed the fact that Obama was a two term president. Or, perhaps you missed the fact that Obama left office with a 60% job approval. I don't think you really want to discuss how Trump stands up against Obama in recent surveys.
It would be an extremely stupid move for Obama to endorse anyone at this stage because it would be grossly unfair to other candidates. Obama knows this and so does Biden. Sorry that's a little complicated.
You might have a point about the primaries. When it comes to the election though, the America-hating Obama lovers wouldn't vote to Keep America Great if their welfare checks depended on it; they'll vote for whoever the Democrats wave in front of them, with or without an Obama endorsement. But so much of this comes down to the moderates and the Independents, and I don't think an Obama endorsement is beneficial to that crowd. I know it would send this Independent running in the other direction

Same here. I was a Hillary supporter in 2008 because I didn't see a lick of difference between her and the fake conservative -- in reality a RINO -- John McCain. I also figured that after eight years of G.W. Bush I was ready for a change. But what I wasn't ready for were Obama worshiping leftists calling ME a racist because I wouldn't dump Hillary during the primaries to root for Barack Obama instead. By the time Obama won and then Hillary and Bill gave their supporters a middle finger by endorsing scum bucket Obama while begging for Party unity, I was done with the Dem Party . . . I became a PUMA (Party Unity My Ass) then and there.
