The countries they come from are ruled by people just like themselves, and its people just like themselves that managed to destroy their own country to the point that most of them live in slums. Why should Americans pick up the slack for these people?
Did you not read the part that said the slum in the picture above looks like the streets of LA where the homeless Americans live? Did you also not read where I said that our country will look like theirs before long. They bring their incompetence, corruption and violence, and when they are in America, dependency with them.

    Good god! The drama!!!.
I wonder if the dysfunction found in these countries can in any way be contributed to the Stalinists, Trotskyites and revolutionaries found in these countries. Businesses probably won't invest, and bring work to countries like El Salvador because they are afraid the communists will confiscate their businesses.

The depraved situation at the Southern border is the consequence of Trump's erratic, counter-productive, and sometimes draconian policies.

Since he assumed responsibility for border security two-and-one-half years ago, far more desperate families are seeking asylum, the backlog of those being processed has considerably lengthened, and seizing children from parents - some dying while incarcerated - is conspicuous among his accomplishments.

He can wee-wee up his xenophobic, unAmerican goons by braying about criminals!, rapists! (O, the irony.) gang members, drug smugglers, duct-taped women and prayer rugs everywhere!, etc., but, under Trumpery, the crisis has, irrefutably, worsened.

Mass migrations, which shall dramatically increase with the displacements triggered by anthropogenic climate change, can only be ameliorated by regional solutions.

That demands international cooperation, working well with others, not Trump's bailiwick.

Um, yes I read that part. I was the one who mentioned that the homeless in LA are living in squalor with no hope of getting out of the homeless camps, or off the streets. The point being that America can't take care of its own.

The 'homeless' in LA are 99.9% substance abusers and LA does nothing about it but in fact, enables it.

I think 99.9% being drug addicts is not right. There are mentally ill who need treatment, families who lost their jobs (some going to illegals), vets with PTSD, substance abusers, people who can't afford the high rents in these places (there is a rising number of older women who are becoming homeless because they were priced out of their homes), and lots of homeless children. The other side to this story is they can't get subsidized housing because illegals are being given first pick of them.

Ideologues denying that it is a major factor in anticipated population displacements is not an option.

These people have no right to overstay their visas. It's simple, if you are not here legally you should not be here.

We need a lot more than immigration reform. We need to deincentivize coming to the United States.
No public services until you are a legal US citizen.

They should stop coming but nope, the left desperately want them here to vote and at any cost. Well any cost to that doesn't harm them.

For now congress needs to pass funding for these facilities and get the administrative staff in place to determine what to do with each of these people in a timely manner.

    I disagree

Congress needs to repeal all the loopholes that prevent trump from deporting all the aliens the same day they get here

Talking to many Trump fans about matters of humanity, Christian charity, or empathy is like explaining the theory of relativity to a scarecrow. One must posses a soul for these matters to register. When shown the picture of a father and child that drowned trying to swim the Rio Grande to seek asylum, their natural response is either "they should have known better than to apply for asylum or they deserved it because (enter reason here).

There is little to be gained by arguing here. One can quote one Bible passage after another in a vain attempt to instruct but they will be discarded as irrelevant. And perhaps they are, to some. Others of us believe that on the final day of judgment we don't wish to stand before God and tell how we devoted our lives to comforting the comfortable.

I wasn't trolling, I was responding to posts.

But accusing posters of trolling is a good way to duck and avoid responding to the actual post …:)

Righty Excuse # 205 for treating "precious lives" worse than animals.

… and by using excuses, encouraging the abuse.

I especially like the very accurate line: "comforting the comfortable" ...it is so "righty"
