Reparations for Slavery.

So, to finish up here, we can divide the 70 years of U.S. slavery by the 10,000 years or so of slavery in the rest of the world, and come up with 0.007% times the '$2,000,000 each', and we have the U.S. gross amount at some $14,000, minus of course some $5,014,000 or so each already spent that at the very least black folks have easily pissed away and squandered already, and so black folks owe every other American about $5,000,000. Of course, it's obviously far more than that, but why rub it in? I'll settle for the $5 mil. I want mine to come from Al Sharpton personally.

People who weren't slaves have no right to claim reparations from people that never had slaves. This is a dumb shakedown.

I am very pleased to see the issue of reparations being discussed among the 2020 Democrat Presidential candidates.

At a guess? Anyone who wants free money. But truly, anyone of European ancestry has a statistical likelihood of at least some Black ancestry. Money wuold just be an incentive to claim it.

Reparations has now moved passed slavery and onto Jim Crow and discrimination in general. Most of the plans worry about ethnicity alone. My friend is a pasty white boy but genetic tests reliably put him around 13% African. I clock in around 3%.

What’s going to be the litmus test?

 

There are about 30 million black adults in the US. 2 million dollars for each one of them is 60 trillion total. As a reference, the federal income tax is about 1.5 trillion per year, federal taxes total is 3.6 trillion, and state and local is another 2.2 trillion, and the US economy is only 20 trillion. Where are we going to get 60 trillion dollars?

 

I guess the numbers need to be adjusted a little. That 2 million figure was just off the top of my head.

slavery reparation hasnt been resolved so the discussion isnt going anywhere until thats been dealt with. the plans you refer to are ignorant of the number one factor involving reparations, which is direct descendant of the slave so called trade, anybody with no genetic ties to that factor can move around, for the layman, thats anybody with west african heritage from the era 1500-1800 can apply.

 

ive seen the figure calculated at 70 trillion, so divide that by the successful applicants. its not like the banks cant print their own money and if inflation sky rockets then so be it, thats the price to be paid for being a wicked slave master for 400 years, bite me.
