Militia member attacks government building

A white man, a member of a self-described 'Redneck Revolt' militia attacked a government building with molotov cocktails while armed with an AR-15 a couple days ago and was shot to death by law enforcement.

Weirdly, we haven't seen this atrocious act leading the newscasts for the past couple days.

But those of us who exist outside the 'news' bubble promoted by Democrat Party operatives posing as journalists are well aware of why this incident is being kept somewhat low key:

The group of 'rednecks' are leftist nut jobs belonging to an AntiFa organization that calls itself a militia. The leftist terrorist who attacked the government building was a member of the militia and described himself in the manifesto he released (why do these nut jobs always have a manifesto?) as an AntiFa member.

Left-wing militias are an unorganized joke. Right-wing militias actually blow buildings up and kill people.

 

So do you think that is why this story has been quieted by the left wing media?

I think the news cycle moved on to Trump's tweet telling minority Congresswomen who were born here to go back to the countries they came from. That's what everyone is talking about.

 

Is this about the guy who attacked the ICE facility? Yeah, I haven't had any problem finding stories about that from left wing sources.

Yeah, there was the right-wing nut job who bombed the OK city government building.

But why do you downplay the leftist terrorists?

 

Sure. On Page A-15, or after the first commercials on the evening news.

But imagine if this had been a white, right-wing militia member who attacked an IRS building; it would still be leading every newscast and top of the hour cable news stations...

Heck, Gabby Gifford still gets far more media attention than Steve Scalise. Both were members of congress who were shot; Gifford by a mental patient that was horrible, but random, and Scalise by a Bernie Bro in what was simply an attempt at a political assassination...

 

There have been plenty of right-wing attacks and planned attacks that barely got any coverage.

 

Because for decades they haven't done anything noteworthy. When's the last time an organized leftist organization actually accomplished anything? The only group I can think of are The Weathermen, and that was 50 years ago.

 

Gifford never did really recover from that, so there's more of a "sympathy angle", and I can't remember the last time anyone talked about her.

 

It takes some guts to ask that question while downplaying right-wing terrorists.

Are you laughing because you haven't read the thread or because you haven't paid attention to rightwing attacks? The person I was responding to tried skating by on acting like the OK City bombing was pretty much all there was. Anyone trying to convince you that both sides don't have their violent wackos is trying to manipulate you and is counting on you to not think critically or do your homework. Don't fall for it.

Rightwinger murdered some kids in a Unitarian church and it barely got any coverage. I doubt anyone in this thread remembers his name, no matter what news sources they watch.
