President Trumps comments about "the squad" show why he must go

One thing is for certain. This fight Don started over race is a fight he wants to have. Which brings us to the undeniable conclusion Don feels making outlandish accusations against black and brown people like these 4 congresswomen works for him with his base supporters. His message is a dog whistle to the older white voters fearful of the demographic trend that is the browning of America.

 

There was nothing racial here, it has to do with countries.

 

AOC claiming to be a "woman of color" is a bit of a reach. I've known more than a few people of Puerto Rican descent and not a one of them identified as a "person of color".

 

President Trump's comments on the Broad Squad are a perfect example why I not only consider him to be a great president but also a genius entertainer. The responses that he evokes from the likes of the OP entertain me for hours. I love it. I absolutely love it.

From where I sit, your conservativism is mute. You seem to me to be completely unable to distinguish between message and messenger or policy and personality. Nothing good comes from disagreeing with people rather than ideas, but the very worst things come from agreeing with people rather than ideas.

In absolutely every thing you have ever posted about President Trump, you have compared the best intentions of others to his less-than-best intentions. You invalidate every argument you try to make by starting off with that conclusion. To put it more succinctly, Dayton, you tend to beg your arguments.

Let me ask you a question. You wrote above that you are conservative. With what are you conservative?

 

You're right that the tweet was poorly timed. Trump isn't very subtle, "bull rush their ass for entertainment" is his only move. More a TV star than a master politician, sure.

I really don't care if you support another Republican in the primary. Anything that makes progressives lose is good.

But if you think "muh they were born in America" is an argument, you've got some serious thinking to do :
- If you think being born in America makes you an American, that literally means you support birthright citizenship. Do you? If not, what relevance does being born in America or not even have?
- He said they "originally came from other countries". So he called them immigrants. Ever heard of second and further generation immigrants?

I think that those progressives are inherently foreigners. It's as accurate as it gets.

 

They've never been average freshman. They've been Trump hating, White hating, America hating racists from before they ever took their oath of office. They use their gender and skin color as their armor, and they seldom if ever speak without calling themselves "women of color", as though that somehow makes them superior to those who are not women, or who are not of color.

All four are a disgrace to our country, a disgrace to our congress, and a disgrace to themselves; and today's press conference served only to further solidify that reality.

What trump was implicitly saying, his dog whistle to the white nationalists was, if you aren't white, you aren't a real America You hate America. You're an enemy.
