Of course not.... there's just different racial tensions now than there were before.... absolutely nothing has decreased in total...

First, before I forget, excellent post.

He could have had a LOT more cooperation from the Republications but he refused to bargain, concessions or to compromise in good faith. He had the votes to pass ACA any way he wanted so he gave the finger to Republicans, lied to get passed and thought this was how you govern. I came back to bite him hard in the elections when the American people basically took away his power. There was a reason he lost so many seats and was effectively disarmed. Had he played his hand better, he would have stayed in control of both houses for 4-8 years.

IMO, this just proves about the very nature of Obama and the style he had. People loved to hear him talk and he was smooth but at the very same time, they disarmed him and took away most of his power. Unfortunately, he still had Intel/IRS to weaponize and the use of power to destablize

I understand that and I was not a huge fan of Bush and the recession. We can debate Bush all day with reasonable good/bad but Bush did suffer from 9-11 (Not entirely his fault, not entirely Clinton, etc. ) and the housing market crash. I thought throwing money at the recession was good and the only option he had. His follow through, though, was dismal, at best. He strangled an economy dying to explode and therefore ruined what should have been a spectacular recovery. He wasn't business savy enough to understand what was happening. How could he be? He was a professor/lawyer and never really understood business or government. He needed about 12 more years in the Senate to really understand how things work.

He was also a cut below people like Clinton and Bush imo, they understood better and had more common sense. Bill Clinton so the power of the tidal wave coming in the Information Technology boom years and did the smart thing, he got out of the way and let it flourish. Obama did the opposite in the wave of the economic recovery. He inserted himself in the middle of it, worked on throwing money at ACA and getting it passed and strangled businesses with regulations that stifled growth.

But increasing regulations reverberated through the economy and he had control over that. Above I explained it better ad in more detail.

I blame Obama and the Democrats more for the way they treated Republicans who were begging Democrats to work with them and Obama and the Democrats refused. Don't you remember the requests by Republicans to meet with Obama and Democrat leaders and they refused? I do. It caused a huge rift in gov't. But the real economic recovery would have been fine had Obama just gotten out of the way and focused on it's recovery and not ACA and spending more money on his pet project.

Which I am in favor of. Military keeps industry moving, creates jobs, improves technology and funds research as well as keeps us safe. I love tax cuts. The less taxes he better, IMO. It's my money, I earned it. I want the government to stop dinging me for nonsense. It makes me sick that Congress and Senators work as little as they do and get such beefits on the backs on citizens who they fail to support with their petty little arguments. I thought they were supposed to be adults.

Obviously he was POTUS, not a dictator. But was extremely narcissistic and he weaponized the CIA/FBI/NSA and did things that 3rd world leaders in banana republics would do. Spied on American journalists, spied on the Trump campaign, orchestrated a coup to take down a duly elected President, spied on his campaign, weaponized IRS to go after political groups, etc.

Obama and I wish this was not true, but it is.

Obama and his goons abused power like we have never seen and yet they got away with it. Nobody is looking into, not really. The DOJ/FBI/NSA/CIA are all entities that don't really care, they want to be left alone to use and abuse at will. The worse is what was swept under the rug by Lynch/Powers/Brennan/Clapper. The fake Dossier. I lot of these guys should be under Federal Indictments right now.

Me either. Imagine if it were 99% white voters always voting for white candidates, though. What if 99% of men always voted for male candidates. These men would be called sexist and women who be furious they never are allowed to win positions based on merits and not sex.

The rare times I hear screams of racism it's usually Democrats directing it at Republicans or at the POTUS. Imagine if a white Christian started screaming racist comments at a black Muslim President?

    Why the double standard?

Yet I never voted for him and have criticized him for the last 2 years. Utterly Amazing.

My opinion is based on my own observations and reading... like everybody else....

    Prime recent example....

"Send her back" chanted at an event for the POTUS....

Your rewrite of history is duly noted.

The Republicans sat on their hands for EIGHT effing years while watching this country nearly burn to the ground.

Not everybody does this. Some like to deal with hard data.

You reject scientifically constructed surveys in favor of your own opinions. No wonder the left is continually gob-smacked by events which go against their predictions.

Keep it up. I like it when my adversaries rely on their prejudice and not science.

Hahahaha! These knee slappers of yours are priceless! Obama systematically made things into racial issues that were not racial issues -- the attempted murder of a police officer in Ferguson -- for instance, and then methodically made things much worse.

This actually supports my point, nice work. I specifically stated:

He could have had a LOT more cooperation from the Republications but he refused to bargain, concessions or to compromise in good faith. He had the votes to pass ACA any way he wanted so he gave the finger to Republicans, lied to get passed and thought this was how you govern. Oh goody... a Trump supporter lecturing me on the value of science....

    Too ****ing funny...

The only "science" I would probably support on this topic is to ask the targets of prejudice/racism/whatever if things have improved under Trump... Fire that one off when you find it and best of luck.

Actually, I am a former statistician, so I am well qualified in understanding surveys.

You can do your own research and then we can have an intelligent discussion. I have little interest in your bigoted opinions.

This is why I have begun putting these total deniers of recently lived through history on ignore. If they are capable of mentally blocking out of existence what Barack Obama actually said and did for eight years then there is no point in posting with them anyway. One might as well exchange posts with a brick wall.:wall:

I'm to the point now where it's more of a curiosity as to how obtuse the leftist organization is willing to go just to avoid being wrong :)

The guy made a stupid comment and tried to atone for it. Be nice if the guy in the White House now would do that more often. Of course he would be doing it everyday, so he probably wouldn't have much time to do so.

Yeah record low black unemployment (black child poverty peaked under Obama), Illegal immigrant deaths are down under Trump, and Trump is working with Kanye West to get a black rapper released from swedish jail.

I agree. The anti-white rhetoric has only escalated in the wake of the 2016 Democrat meltdown, keeping racial tensions high by screaming "white oppressor" at every opportunity. The left has also increased tensions between male and female, and anything else they can drive a wedge between.
