Seeing that I grew up in a highly religious family, attended church and bible school regularly and went to a Christian school where bible study was a requirement I was say yes.

He'd reject and condemn abortion, gay marriage,LGBTQ rights, pornography as free speech for starters. Yes lots of stuff from the right too.

 

I agree that he would most likely condemn abortion, pornography and possibly gay marriage but he never once spoke about gay people and was certainly against treating people as ‘less than’ so I will disagree with your stance that he would be against gay rights. Feel free to show a single verse from Jesus mentioning same sex relations at all.

I think (and it’s my opinion, I do not claim to speak for or represent a creator if one does exist) that Jesus would be more upset at a group of people that exclaim they are speaking for him and getting it completely wrong while committing atrocities in his name verses a group simply saying they don’t know if he exists or not.

 

Jesus didn't mention homosexuality probably because there wasn't much of it in the Jewish population.
The apostle Paul mentioned it because he was talking to believers in an area where it was an issue.
In America it would be an issue. Very few and i mean VERY few would be happy with Jesus's teachings to Americans.

I find it annoying and disingenuous when people who claim to adhere to the word of God, then make the words up to forward their own opinions. It is very clear you do not like homosexuality and would probably avoid a man who hung out with a bunch of guys, never had a girlfriend or wife and wore a dress....oh....wait.

 

I have no problem with homosexuals personally. I do believe however that homosexual behavior is one of many sinful behaviors as the bible clearly says.

Even in Paul’s mentions of homosexuality — taken in context — was in reference to lust, power, promiscuity and rape. Monogamous same sex relations were never mentioned. The words used in most of the passages, and there are only 6 total, reference malakoi and arsenkoitai which biblical scholars even today debate the true meaning. Furthermore we are discussing the passages of Jesus, not man who even the Bible says is corruptible.

Jesus never mentioned homosexuality in any way.
