It's a black thing that not even blacks can explain.

It seems to have began during the 1960's with CPUSA, Alinskyism and cultural-marxism.

You would think more thorough background checks would help, for one. That hasn't worked out.

What background check would have stopped this shooting or the one in California?

I don't know but that's only one thing that could be done better in the future. I can, however tell you all these extra strict gun laws aren't working

If someone wants to kill a bunch of people there is little you can do to stop it. The Dems had it as one of the topics last in the debate last night and none of what was espoused was workable let alone would it work, all they managed to do was just attack the NRA as if the NRA is responsible for mass shootings.

If the Dems don't have a workable solution then who does? Because absolutely nothing has stopped any of these shootings previously, there's always a huge conversation on revamping gun laws or holding the NRA, gun makers, shooters, etc responsible but at the end of it all nothing ever changes. And when the next shooting inevitably happens it'll be the same story again.

We all know if the shooter was white, the OP would present this as white supremacy thing but since the shooter is not white he makes it a gun control thing
How convenient of you to not mention the shooters race.
YOU KNOW if he were, you would not have left it out.
Your pattern is not well disguised at all

    SAD!

So....we've got 12 years, that's 2031, before carbon or lack of it kills everyone. Sounds kinda overdramatic.

First of all, welcome to this forum. I hope that you will enjoy expressing your views & responding to the views of others.

Regrettably, America does have too many mass shootings but we do not know how many were prevented because thwarted mass shootings or successful incidents of self defense do not make the news.

It is my opinion that the most effective way to prevent all homicides is through more accessible & affordable Mental Health care.
We already have innumerable gun laws but too few people seem capable of grasping the reality that criminals, by definition, do not obey laws.

    Climate Change you silly goose!

    The applause cracks me up.

edit: correction, the applause is concerning, even the host decided not to call her out on that statement, which leads me to believe he agrees.

Seriously? It was a disgruntled employee who couldn't bear being reprimanded for violating company policy. What has that to do with the office of the Presidency of the country.

Not my map! And you just keep on doing what you do, it's gotten you far :) Like that one challenge my science teacher taught me.. "here is a bottle of 100 pills, one is deadly poison and all the other are inert and harmless. Will you take one?".. So far you have been lucky where thousands haven't. right? Its the odds that get ya. In your little world they are MANY more poison pills whereas in my bottle I'd be more apt to be gored by an elk or attacked by a wolf then shot by a piece of shlt thug in L.A just for the chump change in my pocket..

That’s the great thing about America. We can live wherever we choose and visit other places too. Evidently, for several reasons most of the population lives in cities and the suburbs that surround them. I live about an hour from downtown now on 5 fenced acres with my dogs surrounded by junipers, Joshua’s, coyotes, jackrabbits, bobcats, hawks, owls, roadrunners and quail. I like the peace, quiet and serenity here. However, I still like to visit the old neighborhoods I grew up in and the people I worked with and played with often. I love the city I grew up in and it’s only a short drive away. I can also drive to Sequoia National Park, Mount Whitney or Death Valley in a couple hours or Vegas in 3 hours. Southern California is one of the garden spots on this earth. That’s probably why so many people choose to live and visit here. I have a nice golf course down the street, a little ski resort 20 minutes up the hill and I can be at several great surf spots in an hour and a half. Two Major Leage ballparks an hour away. Several great music venues, 1000s of great restaraunts and bars....We have it all here in the City Of Angels.

I'm sure it is, and I have been there many times but it's never looked like this :)

So is it fair to say you are a big burley man by day and sissy man by night?

Le Grand Tetons....Around Jackson Hole? Beautiful place no doubt. I have been up there a few times and enjoyed it immensely....I was staying at a really nice place in Jackson hole back in the summer of ‘83-‘84..After my wife and kids went to sleep I went down to the bar and ended up drinking a bottle of Jack Daniels with Alan Simpson. What a great guy. Funny and smart as hell. One of the highlights of my life...Yes, America is a great country, we have it all. I just wish there were more guys like Alan in Washington running things now. I feel comfortable almost any place here in the US. New York City, my native Pittsburgh Pa., Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Philly....There are postcard shots like yours from every state. However none more spectacular than the mountains up where you live.

Yes you have it all. It is not dystopian in the least... One hour in that 22 lane mess and I would be ready for the asylum.

This is another case of going postal and lack of obedience to proper authority. imo race has nothing to with it.

They maybe post cards shots but I promise you those areas are the same today as when they were photographed and as they were 100's of years ago ;)

I been to many of Cali's picturesque beaches, redwoods, sierras, deserts, amusment parks and as far as eats go, well I'm a simple man, a 12oz buffalo steak cooked over oak and smothered in plain old mushrooms and a couple slices of red onion and side salad is good nuff for me. If I want something really weird, well I'm pretty handy around the kitchen, smoker, grill and oven, to be honest, I cant even remember the last time I bought bread..

Thats how us sissy men roll brah, then again I was raised in California where all the tough guys come from so I'm only half sissy ;)

Yep there is a lot of traffic at certain times of the day. I have learned how to avoid it over the years by either not traveling to certain places at certain times or taking the side streets and canyons. I can get to downtown LA from my place during traffic hours by taking the Angeles Crest over the mountains and ease into Sunset and Alvarado by driving a beautiful winding road high up in the San Gabriels.
