    "Almost any place"?

So, that means you feel uncomfortable in some places. Good to know.

I know a lot of people who left here and went to various places out in the country. Some stayed and some came back. It seems like you have adjusted very well to your new surroundings. I am happy for you. I like it here. Home sweet home...

I moved to Colorado Springs for a few years in the ‘90s. Didn’t feel comfortable there. Medium sized city run by right wing Republicans for decades. It was headquarters for whacky right wing group, Focus on the Family and surrounded by military bases. Drugs, gangs, dirty dangerous sections of town, homeless encampments along the River downtown, problems just like LA. Crappy schools and it seemed like there were cult churches with shooting ranges in every other strip mall. Beautiful scenery, nice golf courses great skiing an hour or less away. The baseball programs for kids and high school baseball were crappy and the weather sucked. When it snowed and screwed up my Memorial Day barbecue that was it. I packed up and headed back to LA.

It's worse now under Democratic control.

Colorado Springs is still a Republican stronghold. Check out the voting record of El Paso County. Bright Red.

Oh I come back "often" I think California is a magical place especially the coast.. I really don't mind the cost of living there either.. But the current company, well fck that and fck them.. Nothing worse then going to a nice spot and finding Modelo beer cans strung about to ruin it for me! But to be honest, we're starting to see that here also, but only in the closer area's around towns.. My opinion of south Americans and Mexicans, they don't give two shlts about this country, and when the day comes they cant make a living here they will scurry right back to the **** hole they left, but that will not happen soon enough to save this country from the same fate they left theirs in!

When I was a kid in Pittsburgh in the early ‘60s, I remember it was commonplace to simply throw trash out the windows of moving cars. The highways were filthy. Lady Bird Johnson noticed this disgusting practice and made it her mission to stop this denigration of our country. Stiff fines began to be enacted throughout the country and an effective ad campaign ensued. Then they began to take petty criminals out and rather than go to jail, they were commissioned to clean up the highways instead.

Still there are lazy morons who will leave their trash at fishing spots in the mountains, on beaches, and along the sides of the highway. I am in favor of heavy fines and roadside cleanup for these idiots and stronger enforcement.

There are 'so many' only if we were going to discuss all the ones in urban hellholes, but I noticed you folks only want to discuss certain mass shootings because you ignore oh so many...

Stating this irrational hyperbolic nonsense does not equate to common Sense.

So tell me again about common sense.

Couldn't agree more. When a bird shats the nest its fellow birds should turn on it and pick it to pieces.

Correct. I think more people should, but definitely not everyone.
