I think yes it’s a skill. But I don’t want to take your guns just where you can take them and the mechanism to operate it. Your personal gun only you can use.

Conservatives feel this way because the founding fathers felt this way. The founding fathers recognized the oppression possible when only elites have the weapons. They recognized the value in allowing the people to have a mechanism to protect themselves from tyranny. Without guns, people are helpless. Given that the worldview and morality of the elites have NEVER been more at odds with ordinary conservatives AND conservatives have never felt more vulnerable to the oppression of the elites, your myopic naivety that your side can just disarm your political opponents betrays a noticeable break with reality. Leftists don't have the POWER to accomplish this. Leftists have cultural supremacy but in terms of raw physical force (MIGHT MAKES RIGHT) conservatives rule and there isn't a chance in hell they will turn over their fire power when their seat at the cultural table has already been removed.

To the LW blaming Trump for this tragedy, if you wanted to be a jerk you can just as easily blame open border Democrats.

In fact you could never make me uncomfortable with your points of view. Many Americans, and foreigners, share those same views. They're not uncommon, and to think that your views would make me feel 'uncomfortable' is just silly, if not a tad 'condescending and presumptuous'.

In addition, the Dayton, OH, person had body armor. Only a soon to be, dead fool, would charge another with an assault weapon.

You make it sound like I shouldn’t use my rights to free speech and the constitution which is a living document apparently means nothing, you and yours will threaten and win at any cost America be damned. Let’s take a step back from that. You purchased an AR 15 or an AK 47 you get all your money back and then some because you maintained that weapon. Keep all your handguns and shotguns and rifles so you can hunt and protect your home. But if you choose to go outside the home to mingle with the population they have rights to. They don’t feel safe around guns whereas you do. I’ll protect your right will you protect theirs?

The war on Drugs is to blame for the violence with cartels. Illegals aren't at fault for Americans killing Americans with guns as much as you want it to be. Trump is in charge of appointing Judges to the 9th circuit. Quit trying to blame liberals and brown people for your issues. And I ask, where did I ever say we need to ban guns?

No, I never said we should ban guns. Now tell me, what is your solution for curbing gun violence and Americans slaughtering Americans? More wall? Stricter border security?

Why would more walls and border security stop Americans from killing Americans? Obvious gun laws don't stop people from killing people. Even with police within a minute didn't stop 9 people from dying and many more injured. Other than a more armed populace what is next more government monitoring of everyone? One of the purposes of the 2A is so the citizens can protect themselves with the government can't protect them.

The Ohio shooter used a .22 caliber as reported one of your handguns and shotguns and rifles. Making the weapon look "less menacing" solves nothing.

So the single woman wakes up hearing a sound as someone breaks into her home should not even be able to have a .22 for protection?

Oh good grief what? How about the homeowners in the Garden District of New Orleans after Katrina?

You missed the question in blue above...;) ;)

:) Is it really so hard to say, "No, it wasn't an illegal immigrant it was an American citizen who slaughtered those people"" ?

It was liberal politicians who made the AR-15 and other AR's so popular.

The vast majority who own or possess an AR today would have never purchased one if the liberals hadn't made them so popular by wanting to restrict them.

    FYI:
There is no easy access to any firearm.

The rifle used in the El Paso shooting wasn't an AR but an AK.

The left forces diversity on society and now we have diversity.

Both of the rifles used last week in Gilmore during the Garlic Festival and yesterday in El Paso were Ak's.

There has always been weapons in the US but the first mass shooting wasn't until 1982 and the killer was found to have an injury to his brain. So the problem doesn't seem to be the availability of guns.

But what happened since the 1960's is that the culture has changed, We have lost manners, people have lost respect for our leaders, the people have turned on each other and rudeness is being encouraged.

Your comment that "Trump is POTUS. He sets the standard and takes the lead. Dickheads swallow his rubbish, and end up slaughtering people en masse with their weapons of mass domestic destruction" is not untypical. Trump supporters are "Dickheads", just as Hillary Clinton called them "Deplorables". You and other Leftists are dehumanizing those who hold different political views to the point where they're called, 'Nazis', 'Fascists', and 'Racist' so treating them as an enemy to be destroyed, literally, becomes a realistic alternative to public conversation.

Dehumanizing the opposition is perhaps the oldest political strategy and otherwise rational people can fall into this trap. The US President is 'orange', 'fat' 'tweets too much', a "Dickhead' etc but Americans like his policies. Foreigners on here aren't adding anything to the debate, rather they're contributing to the ongoing hostility between Democrats and Republicans, right and left, by using hyperbole rather than good manners and offering intelligent alternatives to try and bring people together.

Why is it so important for you to say it? What does it matter would the people be less dead if he wasn't?

Does it matter? People are dead and families suffering, their lives changed forever. Is this really the priority?
