Another mass shooting deserves a better answer.

As I keep pointing out, the big change in America has been the takeover by liberalism in the media and public schools

Combined with the rise of divorce and single parent families video lifestyle it is producing generations of children that are increasingly violent

The end game is......2A goes. First pawn deployment.......make background checks compulsory, and no gun gets sold to anyone without a waiting period of some months, in conjunction with, confiscate every assault rifle currently in the civilian population and outlaw any further sales of them.

Can't help but notice your reaction is always geared toward punishing law abiding civilians rather than the criminals. Why?

Punish? Sure....law abiding citizens are affected. That's Life. Drivers of great skill, law abiding, also have to drive to imposed speed limits. What is more important? Your right to have a weapon of mass domestic destruction or even ONE human life?

As if the two are exclusive. You couldn't care less if someone used a firearm to save their life. lol@"just one human life".

Liberal Know-it-all Neil Degrasse Tyson had this to say on Sunday:

In the past 48 hours, the USA horrifically lost 34 people to mass shootings.

On average, across any 48 hours, we also lose 500 to medical errors,

    300 to the flu,

    250 to suicide,

    200 to car accidents,

    40 to homicide via handgun.

Often our emotions respond more to spectacle than to data.”

Afterward Tyson was taken to a secret location by liberal gun grabbers and waterboarded till he recanted

But at least briefly he had a lucid moment

Would you sacrifice yours or that of one of yours at Walmart so your law abiding neighbour can keep his weapon of mass domestic destruction?

    Nice job of cherry picking

The answer to your question is not as far as we know

But the suicides and homicides were intentional

And so were the traffic deaths due to drunk drivers

...not a great list then really was it!
    intentional.....isn't that the point? ergo...
..if what you say or think is correct...then do you think there should be a thought process aimed at mitigating the possible effects and causes?

I dunno. This generation doesn't seem especially....physical per se. I mean they are violent with things like Antifa, at least they flail a bit in a mob. But this doesn't seem like a "becoming more violent" thing. If every neighborhood was like south central in the 90's and they were all hard ass gangsters, then yeah I could see that.
It is more they they are emotionally crippled if that makes sense. Like they missed some important milestones, and these are little more than temper tantrums or desperate attempts for recognition from people with no coping skills.
Yeah, education is more, let's say progressive, but kids don't inherently care what teachers say. My school told me not to smoke pot or have sex before marriage. Why is it so much more potent now?

There does appear to be some correlation between single motherhood and increased violence though. I believe it is something like 70%+ of criminals in prison for violent offenses are from single mother homes. However, there are tons of people from single mother homes that are not violent. Seems to be a predisposition more than a causative agent.

How can you be so confident that "liberalism" is the root cause of this?

Because legal guns are the major source of all the illegal guns we have

Illegal guns? Or are you speaking about criminals having guns illegally? So a criminal who manages to get a gun is my responsibility how?

For your point about the list from NDT, they are all things that could have been avoided depending on the level of control you want to exert over society.
If the speed limit is 3 mph then there would likely be no auto deaths. If you are quarantined during flu season, you likely will not get sick. If your doctor had his license taken for every mistake, there would likely be fewer mistakes.

For your last sentence, I believe that yes there should be. The only logical first step, is identifying the problem. Without that, any solution is an empty gesture to appease frightened people.
So what is going on? It is not proximity to guns, because there are more guns than people here. You were responding to a specific statement about single mothers and video games and such. I gave my opinion about that above. However, what if the root cause were something like divorce or single mother homes. Both of those things would have huge implications for society and I have no idea how to address something like that without making people honor their marriage contract. I have a feeling the conclusion will be something unpleasant like that; something people don't want to hear. Too much helicopter parenting or early childhood isolation from daycare or something. How can you legally compel people to change their family lives? Do we make it illegal for married women to work? Is that your business BEFORE the child becomes a mass shooter? That is a tough call. I don't think I could do it. How can you punish someone before they commit a crime or based on a statistical probability?

    Maybe

But our current crop of leadership, left or right, is far too incompetent to deal with it

Liberal culture has become too entrenched to turn back now

Violence does not have to be universal within a generation

I am not qualified to wrap up this problem and explain it in every detail

But neither are 99% of the sociologists bloviating on tv

    Our country is sick

and the under 25 shooters in the news today are as much victims as they are the evil monsters they have become

Perhaps but there is always the question of utility, cause and effect. Cars or doctors were not created or crafted for the sole purpose of violent force or effect; yes a car can be a weapon as has been shown in London or Nice and Doctors can be murders like Howard Shipman, however, that was not the intention of the vector. Other than the application of force or forceful effect what is the purpose of the creation of a firearm?

..that presupposes the premise is correct and personally I think it is not. Intrinsically I think people are just the same now as they have always been whether brought up by single parents or playing games or whatever it is that the author of the post thinks is wrong with "the world today". I think people are just as good and bad as they have ever been. Your comment....
...don't you think that that is in itself a rather telling dilemma? You posed a number of questions before concluding your thought process with....
...to me the issue would be attempting the denial of the opportunity to become a mass murder through the use of firearms by dealing with the issue of...
...for me its a rather simple exercise in the application of common sense...get rid of them....anyway what do I know...

How about a mandatory public school class on morality?

The shooters aren't having a problem handling the item, they are having a problem handling morality.

Perhaps. Have you passed on a gun to someone you knew who passed it on to someone they knew who sold it on at a bar to someone who gave a good price?

    ...what's that mean...I mean what's a "liberal" education...as opposed to an education?
