Hmmm oh! I know that and it is interesting that THAT was where YOUR mind went

However I shows that the so called “good guy with a gun” can and often is the “bad guy doing the shooting”

    False.

Both shooters obtained their guns legally through an FFL dealer and were subjected to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).

    Try to keep up.

And that is because they did not have a criminal record

Would be nice if the playing ground was more level for the victims and the rapid fire large magazine weapons were not so easily obtained

They both go back to a common thread, the break down of the family and lack of fathers in the homes.

They use violence to terrify and intimidate their communities including public shootings.

In The Line Of Fire: Gang members killing innocent people

Eric Adorno was mistaken for a gang member because he wore a red football jersey.

Lacy Ferguson was shot to death after she and her boyfriend bought a pack of cigarettes.

Josue Huerta was winning his battle with cancer but lost his life to gang violence.

Ernestina "Tina" Tizoc was sitting at a picnic table when her maroon blouse caught the eye of neighborhood boys who favor blue.

And Manuel Rayas was shot, sniper-style, as he stood on the lawn at a birthday party while children jumped in an inflatable bounce house nearby.

All were killed in the never- ending turf wars waged by Norteños and Sureños in the Modesto area, but none belonged to a gang or provoked their attackers.

I would say that it proves Liberals do not care about mass shootings. It is simply politics for them. Whatever suits thier agenda at any given time. There is no consistency in their rhetoric. They should be ignored but I like pointing out what is obvious.

This isn't all the mass shooters... These are only the ones that get highly publicized. There are many, many more mass shootings happening in the US. I'm not saying it's about White Nationalism or anything, but I'm saying that your post is incomplete and Wiki is never a good source to cite.

So, more background checks isn't going to stop people from doing crazy things? Good to know.

WTH is a "rapid file large magazine"????

A level playing field is not to be a victim in the first place and do what is necessary to arm yourself.

    Try to keep up.

    Bottom line.

This image of mass shooters is completely worthless as an indictment against political persuasion of mass shooters.

It's intellectually lazy to claim that drug dealers, the mentally ill, and abusive family members killed because of their political leanings - or that said leanings can be determined by appearance. Given that only about 50% of the population of this country is political at all, this is just a plain stupid thread.

And the military has turned on US Citizens. Most third world countries have a military to keep down their own citizens, not to repel invaders. Best for you to stay in Australia and start giving advice to Papua. They could use it more.

Yes, it is stupid but shameless leftists will use a tragedy like these to promote their own political careers and Pocahontas is even using it to fund raise for her campaign. The rabble goes along with the outrage of the day until their handlers divert their attention elsewhere.

Based on your user name and things you have posted, I assume that you are Australian. If so, why do you advocate so hard for the people in the US to surrender their guns? It certainly can not be because of the loss of lives, as there are more lives lost from other singular causes than guns and you are not advocating against those issues. I am also curious as to the origin of your faith in Governments and the military that they control. Are you so willing to risk your freedom on this faith in Governments...even though history has proven time and time again that Governments can seldom be trusted?

Throughout this thread no one has advocated that Americans surrender their guns. They have advocated better controls but many seem to think there is a domino effect and refuse any suggestion of methods to at least limit the damage caused by stupid gun owners and unethical vendors and manufacturers.

Well, the democrats don't want to take your guns, unless you vote them in.

I am not well versed in the current background check system for the purchase of guns. Nor do I know much about the ‘background check’ Bill the house recently passed. Do you know whether the provisions of the House bill would have prevented these two crazies from purchasing the weapons they used in El Paso and Dayton? Thanks in advance for any knowledge you have on the subject

Did I? Of course I did. As much fun as Hitchcock is, it isn't actual medical study. But of course, it describes the pathology.

You are correct. Nobody has came right out and advocated the surrender of ALL guns. However, there are plenty that are advocating the surrender of SOME guns.

This argument is not new. I grow up in the 60's-70's when there was a push to ban handguns. Today, the same mindset is just pointing at a different weapon....while using the same narrative. They point at an AR15 and say people do not need a gun like this that can fire many bullets in a short time. However, when they use the term "semi-automatic" as the weapon that needs to be banned, they seldom provide any distinction between the AR15 and semi-automatic handguns.

I am all for sensible gun regulations to insure the few "stupid gun owners" are minimized. However, I am not in favor of painting ALL gun owners as "stupid" and denying them their rights based on the actions of a few. I am not of "The Collective" mindset and believe in "Individual" responsibility. I am also not blindly trusting in any Government, especially after the teaching throughout history. While I am not so much of a conspiracy theorist to the point where I think a Government will attempt to oppress their people overnight, I am aware that any potential oppression will happen over a long length of time with the chipping away of individual rights.

So, how to you plan on protecting yourself and your family when all means to do so have been removed? History has shown time and time again that the first thing people of power do before any oppression attempts is to disarm society. What is your plan if the "elite" decide that the best way to combat "climate change" is to "cull the herd"? What is your plan if the "elite" decide that the population is outgrowing the food supply? What is your plan if the "elite" decide that non-productive members of our society are a burden that must be removed. I am not saying any of this will materialize, but the potential is certain real.
