Are you sure Reza Aslan is a liberal intellectual? The only videos I have ever seen of him is the token scholar guy defending religion. I think his specialty is in religious studies and he has written many books about religion. I have heard him call Richard Dawkins an idiot and Dawkins is probably a real liberal hero. He has also debated people like Cenk Uygur of the Young Turks and Sam Harris who are atheists and probably in the Harris case a real liberal intellect. Uygur is just a crazy left wing intellect wanna be. I don't know if you can be both a liberal intellectual and a religious fanatic at the same time.

I am not fan of Aslan. As an atheists I totally disagree with his views on religion. As a person that supported Trump in the last election his tweet is directed at me and I find it offensive; however, to suggest he needs to leave the country for expressing his opinions in lunacy. Wiki list him as an Iranian-American citizen. I guess that means he has dual citizenship. We do not kick citizens out of this country for foul language and expressing their views.

 

It may be the only way to get them to stop attempting to incite violence.

Twitter is not supposed to be 8chan for far left radicals. I would say the tweet from him published here was mild compared to others he has written. There are a couple US senators that have taken an interest in social media bias and hate speech. He would be interested in having this guy testify before him. I would say that at least a couple hundred tweet replies were similar to mine and referenced @secretservice, @FBI. This was beyond free speech or freedom of the press. He actually threated the president and his staff, not to mention ALL 65 million or more of his supporters.

OK. If what you're saying is true, I never got a chance to see it. When last I logged on there, people were criticizing him but he did not make any threats against anyone.

 

When the FCC replied to my letter they said there has to be an explicit and credible threat made before the feds can take action. Merely saying, for example, that you wish he would croak is not sufficient as in the example of the right wing preacher who said that about Obama. No action was taken against him.
