Sure, I accept that. I have no idea what this guy Tweets and if he crossed that line or not. My only point is if he committed a crime prosecute him. If we can't prosecute him challenge his words. If you don't want to do that then just unfollow him on twitter, boycott his appearances on TV and definitely do not buy his books. What we should not be doing is telling American citizens to go back to their country or origin for expressing their opinions.

He's an Iranian anti Semite. I'm not a Jew.
He supposedly is a scholar with 3 books on religion (all Islamic BS). His cursive hate language and swearing is meant to be provocative but is a poor excuse for not using more descriptive grammar. He cannot swear properly. It is probably a difficult task for a foreign ingrate like him.
CNN's Jeff Zucker is going to go the way of Weinstein or at least will eventually be fired by AT&T. This asshat is holding the door open for him.

Hate speech is not specifically within the FCC's mandate. His threats were what the FBI supposedly spends too much time looking into, potential terrorist on the loose making threats on social media. He at least threatened a WH staff member. The Secret Service says they do take these seriously as potential threats to the president even if not directly made to the president. A number of people retweeted the Secret Service as well as the FBI. Apparently they thought it was a threat to the president. I don't recall seeing any direct threats to him but would go with their consensus.

Sure I will take your word on it. You seem to know much more about him than me. My only real memory of him is a debate between him and Sam Harris more than a decade ago. I know he has a strong pro religion stance and he has attacked many atheist including people like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens.

''Hate speech is not specifically within the FCC's mandate''

There has been some change over providers and groupings which use the internet. Up to 2015 it was the FCC and that is why I made my complaint over content on this forum to that agency because it was before that change. And while the agency oversight has changed due to new net neutrality regs, the matter of content remains the same. Thus, there would have to be an explicit and credible threat before the agency will take action. So far, no one here has presented any evidence that this standard has been met.

I do believe that we can all agree that there is no basis for making threats against anyone whether private citizens or politicians. The better way to settle social disputes is through rational discussion and negotiation. Not through any form of violence.

I locked horns with him in the Comments section of one of his articles and he is a disgusting little man. Obviously, he's not terribly bright, either.

This has to be his most desperate cry for attention yet. It's sad that he has a following that gleefully laps that puke up. Very "progressive"...

    ''He's an Iranian anti Semite''

    Proof please.

On the contrary, he condemned antisemitism:

Eradicating human beings because of their political ideology is pure totalitarianism. It would be best for Reza to wash his mouth out with soup, and his mind with reason.

I fear civil war is coming.

Well, I hope that can wait. I can't fit civil war into my schedule until next February.

Dang, that means people would have to get off their couches to see what is going on outside. What a buzzkill.

It's obviously political. The trailer is designed to exploit mass shootings and political hate to stimulate the viral promotion of their film. It worked.
The people who produced the film are pond scum.

At least he didn't use the incendiary and racist word "Invader" or "Illegal". Only to eradicate which is a calming word with peace and understanding.

Are you talking about this film?

If so, you'd have to be a stone cold idiot not to recognize it's political.

Big surprise it's from NBC Universal. Another invaluable contribution to society from our thoughtful and responsible media...

In case you missed it, Aslan connected people to a "scourge" that "must be eradicated from society".

The Nazis did the same thing to the Jews before they fired the ovens.

    Clear enough?

Aslan's lucky he tweeted his genocidal fantasy here in America where hate speech and incitement aren't crimes. Had he done this in Europe he would have gotten keelhauled before a judge.

Obviously, Reza Aslan doesn't do nuance.

His "progressive" supporters and apologists are finding it for him...:boo:

It is a clear unambiguous call for the eradication of the President and his supporters.
A call for mass murder - genocide.

Reza Aslan's apologists are not doing him a favor.

There have always been apologists for those who call for genocide. Many "progressives" just can't resist doing that.

"...he described the speech [by Hitler] as a "genuinely statesmanlike address.' ... 'We have heard once more ... the authentic voice of a genuinely civilized people.' ... 'to deny today that Germany can speak as a civilized power because uncivilized things are being done in Germany is in itself a deep form of intolerance." Walter Lippmann praising Hitler, from Ronald Steele, "Walter Lippmann and The American Century", p.331.

And of course the trailer is still running free on Youtube - as intended.
Free advertising for a film pushing genocidal political hate.

You mean, as opposed to all those black Ballaclavas that ATIFA wear?? Ridiculous. It seems ironic that folks who should be preaching tolerance have become the ones who are most intolerant around. That you can be that triggered by good marketing and a hat... So, you attack the hat. And all the while you attack the hat, your NDP politicians continue to force minorities and the poor into their meat grinding public housing replete with dependency sucking money give aways that keep them there. Even folks like Gabi are putting your practitioners in their respective places as ms Harris found out the hard way. Own your own racists before you even think about lashing out at others.

I think we can count on Americans Left to Right to just say no to civil war even at the risk of disappointing our corrupt political establishment, Hollywood and the Fake News MSM.

the scourge he was referring to was the MAGA hat which he equated with the KKK hood - that should be clear enuff for most folks
