Which mass shootings would have been stopped by these new checks you support?

And a piece of advice, hurling insults which you seem to have a need to do in your post as a substitute for a civil reasoned response will get you warnings and deletions and bans on this board.

No, but the victims would've been able to kill the perp before the cops had time to get the call and show up and hed be dead instead of in custody talking ****...

And I agreed; treat cars and guns the same when it came to licensing.
The latest push by democrats is to ask Ebay and Amazon to stop allowing people to sell firearm accessories. This can now be applied to also asking them to stop selling parts for high performance cars.
    Same 'logic'.

That just fact checked an image. It didn’t say whether or not the crime was in DNC voting areas or not. You can compare high crime areas and see who runs them though, and that does give you an idea. His lists of cities and who they are run by is, I believe, 100% correct.

Also, while the two weapons were on the AWB, you used the 200 plus number, which shows the vast majority of mass shooters use.... handguns. So it would have dropped that 292 to 290, which really doesn’t even register. So you would have stopped two, but all the others would have still happened. And you would have punished ALL law abiding citizens for the acts of the very very very few.

Because they believe in the Second Amendment?
I live in a conservative county with lots of gun ownership and the murder rate is less than that of Australia.

Bowerbird and others on this forum routinely speak of confiscation. That is what I was responding to.

The point he is making is perfectly clear. Trump has nothing to do with any economic trends since taking office. Every one of them have been on the same trend line since 2010.

And as you are fully aware, Obama and the democrats were handed the worst recession in record in 80 years due entirely to republican incompetence. That is quite expensive to fix, and drastically negatively effects UE, GDP etc.

It is pointless to attempt to have a discussion with you as your only response is that you have already refuted anything posted and refuse to answer questions to you or support your specious claims.

You killed your own argument. How would requiring registration and a competence test affect criminals?

And how exactly was that "zone" enforced in that area in El Paso? Was there metal detectors or a pat down for all CCW folk? And if there was no "zone", how would the cops tell the difference between good guy and bad guy shooting it out in that panicked crowd?

Also, remember that since the GOP prevent the reinstatement of the 1994 AWB, of which the weapons used in Texas and Ohio were listed, the "zone" is all they've got.

Yeah, exactly how do they enforce that? Pat downs, metal detectors? Not quite clear on that, to say that all Texas CCW folk in that area left their weapons at home. And how do cops determine in a panicked stampede of people who is the good guy or bad guy shooting it out?

And remember, since the GOP blocks reinstatement of the 1994 AWB, of which the weapons used in El Paso and Dayton were listed, the "zones" are all they have left.

But let's not (again) use this as an example that mass shooters ONLY target "gun free zones" https://www.mediamatters.org/washin...researcher-john-lott-platform-push-repeatedly

No matter how you cut it, the refusal to bring back the 1994 AWB is just the GOP kow towing to the gun lobby....people dying for the false gods of profit and power.

Actually, you only would have to confiscate those sold after the law has been passed, as well as those sold after. Also, you license and register ALL gun transactions...including gun shows and private sales/exchanges....in all fifty states.

Actually, the myth of confiscation is just that...as the old AWB only "confiscated" weapons on it's list sold AFTER the inaction of the law.

Look at the number of accidental shootings by law abiding citizens. That's what I'm talking about in that instance.

It was an assault rifle that was on the 1994 AWB list. Period. The victim's families don't give a damn about silly assed attempts by the NRA/gun lobby to save face.

Where were all the CCW you ask? they were abiding by the law and not carrying their guns and those places.

maybe you should ask Walmart to why they don't let anyone have a CCW in their store.
