Trivia time.. Who was the last Speaker of the House who wanted to cut spending? I am not speaking of cutting here and raising there..

When you give up you have your answer to why spending like this continues.

Which, if were true, nothing would ever happen anywhere ever. Decisions would never be made, budgets would never be spent, and the whole country would crater.

How would the country crater if government employees were managed responsibility like those in the private sector?

On the economy, Trump hasn't moved the trend lines one bit. They are on the same trend since 2010.
Obama deported more illegal aliens than Trump.
He did manage to get a couple of SCOTUS appointments - after McConnell blocked Garland in a shameless act of politics over tradition.
As for the deficit, pretty much the ONLY legislative achievement that Trump can put beside his name was to send the deficit in the wrong direction.

Total BS, the economy took off as soon as Trump was elected. You folks claim some 'trending' during the Obama years, but we saw increases by leaps and bounds once that loser was out of office. Trump's economy took off because there was confidence in the private sector that was not there while Obama mucked about. Obama, in the liberal dishonest fashion, changed the goal posts and counted those turned away at the border as deported, they were never issued deportation orders, it was just another liberal fraud. Trump got his tax cut, that's all the legislative victory he needs in his first term. Much of the rest of his term was being and executive and repairing the disaster Obama wrought. Getting two Supreme Court seats was pretty awesome, he'll likely get a third in his second term, and that could be a generation America moving in the right direction...

The economy has been on the exact same unchanging upward trend since 2010. To pretend trump proofed it in the right direction is demonstrably false. Trump has done **** all about illegal immigration, despite having 2 years of total budgetary control.

Money is fungible. Isnt that the same argument you guys use against providing money to planned parenthood? even though they use not a single penny of it to fund abortions?

Basically, no, there is no difference what so ever. The mechanism to get that money back to them doesnt matter. They still get it in some form or another.

They also received many billions of dollars more from the government in subsidies. I am certain that the effect is less than a net 0.

    That's solved.

Planned Parenthood May Reject Federal Funds Over Trump Administration Rule.

“Despite years of fighting calls to ‘defund Planned Parenthood,’ the reproductive healthcare organization may now voluntarily remove itself from a massive government funding program, after a federal appeals court allowed a controversial new abortion rule to go forward.”
