Right. Every economic system other than capitalism is based on theft because no other economic system understands how wealth is created. Every other economic system presumes to determine how wealth should be distributed without even considering whether those who own the wealth now are entitled to keep it.

I think not. China doesn't want war with us any more than we want war with China. It's called sabre rattling for a reason. It means you show you're ready for war without actually drawing your weapon. Rolling tanks into Hong Kong would definitely be considered an invasion of Chinese territory and would bring on war. Sailing the 7th Fleet up the Taiwan Strait is something we've done countless times before.

 

Not if we get in the middle of them actively invading Taiwan.

How about offering immediate American citizenship to every Hong Kong citizen? We would get a shot in the arm of courageous freedom-loving hardworking entrepeneural citizens, and China would lose them.
