Based upon a carefully selected audience?

    Where were they from?

Trump has done nothing for the economy except threaten it.

With great fanfare and an executive order, not law although he had the support of the House and Senate, Trump said he reduced regulations. All that did was lessen some paperwork and cause some secretaries and environmentalists to lose their jobs. That's it.

The boom began under Obama and there was more job growth under Obama. There were 75 straight months of job growth under Obama. Trump has a ways to go, and, looking at the past five months and some of the worst days on record for Wall Street just in the past two weeks, I don't think he is going to get there. https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2017/01/december-jobs-report/512366/

What is truly remarkable about all that, is that Obama inherited two of our nation's longest wars and the second worst economic crisis in our nation's history.

Trump inherited no wars to speak of, a booming economy, and "The Squad."

Right now the Dow is up over 300 points. Good, now we are back to where we were on March 15. https://www.zacks.com/stock/news/359798/stock-market-news-for-mar-15-2019

Cartoon loyalty to Trump is amusing. It may have something to do with intellectual capabilities.

Mostly from New Hampshire I'm sure. Probably some from neighoring states. And the audience isn't selected. Anybody who requests a ticket gets one, and inside seating and available standing room goes to those who get there first. Which means a lot camp out in line at the door for hours or even overnight to be sure they can get in. The rest watch outside the arena or stadum or whatever on big screen TVs set up for them. Sometimes the crowd outside is almost as big as the crowd inside.

There is no Democrat, former or present, who had any chance to pull crowds like that. Trump pulls them everywhere he goes.

If you want a ticket to any Trump rally, all you have to do is ask for one.

    By contrast, Biden rallies are more like this;

    Warren Rally
    [IMG]

    Bernie Rally

    Kamala Harris rally

Nothing ironic about it. In the first place Trump has done for the economy. He deserves no credit for the 21 months of stock market improvements. If you think differently, tell us what Trump has done for the economy. Congress wrote the entire new tax law. Trump engaged in great fanfare about reducing regs two years ago. All that did was lessen paperwork and some secretaries and environmentalists lost their jobs.

Trump is responsible for the current volatility in the market right now and his trade war with China and his tariffs are causing inflation and there are recession fears because of his policies. After a 300 point rally today, we are right where we were five months ago.

I'm guessing you are blissfully unaware of any of this. Go back to your cartoons.

Trump virtually admitted he knows he is a jerk.

Trump told his fervid supporters at a rally Thursday that if he is not reelected, the economy will crash. “You have no choice but to vote for me because your 401(k)’s down the tubes. Everything is going to be down the tubes. So whether you love me or hate me, you’ve got to vote for me.”

Also, we know the English language is a challenge for Trump. He probably meant to say, "You have no choice but to vote for me because your 401(k)’s down the tubes if a Democrat is elected."

But he did not say that. He said, "You have no choice but to vote for me because your 401(k)’s down the tubes." That is present tense, not future tense, as in "your 401(k)s will go down the tubes."

Was that Freudian? Or just plain stupid. 401(k)s have been going down the tubes because of Trump's trade war with China for at least the past five months!

In view of that fact, would it be wise to vote for Trump? Those who do must enjoy losing their savings.

We have fools in Washington. One is in the White House. Four others in the House of Representatives.

Trump is more loyal to Israel than the U.S. Congress.

    Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

It would show great weakness if Israel allowed Rep. Omar and Rep.Tlaib to visit. They hate Israel & all Jewish people, & there is nothing that can be said or done to change their minds. Minnesota and Michigan will have a hard time putting them back in office. They are a disgrace!

    6:57 AM - Aug 15, 2019

After Trump's comments regarding the two American Congresswomen, Israel reversed course and prohibited the pair from entering the country.

Israel then reversed itself again and re-invited Tlaib to the West Bank so she could see her grandmother. Tlaib first agreed then she reversed herself.

Tlaib, facing criticism by Palestinians and other opponents of the Israeli occupation, quickly changed her mind, saying she could not make the trip under “these oppressive conditions.”

“Silencing me & treating me like a criminal is not what she wants for me,” she said of her grandmother in a Twitter post. “It would kill a piece of me.”

This sounds like a reality show provided by the reality show producer who sits in the Oval Office.

    Comedy Hour in Washington D.C.

The latest, Trump wants to buy Greenland.

No need to attack me, Sandy. Don't you get enough nasty attacking Trump?

Every President is responsible for everything that happens under his/her watch. You can fasttalk it to death, but its obvious to everyone that Trumps initial actions of killing some regulations lightened the burden for American businesses and spurred a period of growth that created a strong economy, low unemployment and higher wages. Like I said... you're quick to blame but totally unable to give credit where credit is due.

Besides, if you're such an expert, surely you made a fortune on the stock market before it dropped (and came back up) this week.

    Still praying for a recession?

Trumpets on this thread could not challenge what I said. Good, now we got that straightened out. Trump has done nothing for the economy except threaten it as the past two weeks have shown. Have you looked at your 401(k)s lately? You can thank Trump.

Now go back to your cartoons.

    This thread is fun.

"I donate 100% of my President’s salary, $400,000, back to our Country, and feel very good about it!"

And he makes ten times that with the hotel just down the street from the White House and Congress.

Why in the world do Trumpets think this rich bastard is concerned about them? I don't get that.

POTUS posted on FB 1 hr ago.

    One comment.

This is why we love President Trump. He is NOT a politician. Instead he is a true leader, says what he wants like a common man, and has a sense of humor. All of you offended, get your Mac n cheese out of the microwave and head back to your room and hug an Obama poster.

1 person is POTUS, the others are not. Let's also not forget, the others are talking to real folks, not people paid to be there.

Nobody is paid to attent Trump rallies. You won't be able to find a single source that verifies that somebody's malicious Craig's List ads were valid or that there was even anybody answering the phone number listed. Snopes, no friend of the President and gleefully verifying anything bad about him that they can, thoroughly debunked that themselves.

But fair enough. President Trump is POTUS and the others are candidates all still with pretty low numbers in voter preference. Obama pulled considerably larger crowds in his first campaign than President Trump did. But Trump's crowds in the second campaign are considerably larger than Obama's crowds for the second campaign.
    https://www.pacificpundit.com/2019/...crowd-bigger-than-obamas-2012-crowd-by-a-lot/
    https://www.dailywire.com/news/3748...check-out-obamas-empty-seats-vs-james-barrett

Is this significant? Who knows? For sure, enthusiasm for President Trump is not waning among those who like his vision and integrity in making the best effort to actually accomplish his campaign promises. President Trump's approval rating has slipped a few points among conservatives and libertarians when he said he would possibly support a red flag law worded as the Democrats have demanded. But once he irons the wrinkles out of that, I am pretty sure he'll come down with a policy position they can accept and those numbers will come back up.

Trump supporters give approval ratings and votes for policy, vision, values, concepts.
Democrat supporters give approval ratings and votes based on most vague feelings or just who they like the best who aren't right of center.

You can't criticize me for what I say. You must invent what I said, then criticize me based upon what your imagination came up with.

That is a tactic used by most Trumpets, and they stay away from what their hero says.

We know the English language is a challenge for Trump. At a recent rally, he meant to say, "You have no choice but to vote for me because your 401(k)’s down the tubes if a Democrat is elected."

But he did not say that. He said, "You have no choice but to vote for me because your 401(k)’s down the tubes." That is present tense, not future tense, as in "your 401(k)s will go down the tubes."

Trump is more loyal to Israel than the U.S. Congress. He told his pal, Netanyahu, not to allow two members of the U.S. Congress to visit Israel.

Trump wants to buy Greenland. He doubles as a stand-up comedian.

During Thursday night’s rally in Manchester, New Hampshire, Trump responded to a man he thought was a protester by fat-shaming him.

“That guy has got a serious weight problem. Go home, start exercising,” Trump said from the lectern, referring to the man he believed was interrupting his speech. “Gotta bigger problem than I do. Got a bigger problem than all of us.”

Trump then had the man removed.

The man that Trump thought was a protester was actually a supporter.

Trump is losing it. Of that, there is little doubt.
