It must be a boring life down under when your entertainment consists of sitting around watching TV shows about another countries budget cuts. I have to say that I don't every recall watching anything on TV about Australia since the death of Steve Irwin.

Available information about the warden of the MCC ( Lamine N'Diay) is limited, but he seems to have been in place long before Trump became President or Barr became AG.

Now if you have some data that shows Trump altered the Corrections staff to inmate ration to non-historical low levels rather than adjust staff for declining prison population please post your data.

And by the way. We have a civil service in this country with respect to Federal employees. Do you understand what that is?

I am of the opinion contrary to certain "experts" and conspiracy theorists that it would be technically possible for him to off himself. There are a lot of people who wanted him dead but maybe he wanted himself dead as much. I never gave this guy a though before he made recent headlines. I have read some about what a slime he is but never really gave what he did much thought. The only thing it amplifies in my mind is that there are a lot of really screwed up people in the world and a lot of them seem to be very wealthy and powerful.

So how did he do it? I haven't seen any evidence and it hasn't been talked about much at all other than he some how hung himself or as some believe, he was strangled.

I believe either is possible but saying he could not have done it by himself is probably not entirely true.

If he did it himself here's how I think it would be possible:

1) Motive: He decided his life behind bars would probably be for the rest of his life. He didn't want to live with no freedom or in isolation. Stir crazy is real and it doesn't take that long to become psychologically depressed in complete isolation. He might also have figured that even if he was somehow able to get out, someone would want him dead. His life was over either way.

2) Opportunity: He had a lot of money. It is possible that himself actually told the guards to do what they did. First he got himself off of suicide watch either with the help of his lawyer or by bribing guards or both.
Once he was in a regular isolation cell, he might have bribed the guards. It would not be difficult to communicate to them with an offer they couldn't refuse. He tells a guard, If you look the other way for a few hours, there is big money it for you, etc. Maybe he told them where hidden money or other valuables could be found. Most people can be bribed if the price is right.

3) Method: Here is where the evidence has not been released and where "experts" don't agree. There were at least two items that could technically be used for a person to commit suicide if they know how. Epstein was supposedly smart. He knew math and physics. He would have known the physics of leverage. He might also have trained himself to tolerate pain. Some can endure more than others.

Item 1 - Toilet paper
Item 2 - A paper bed sheet.

Either item could be made into a rope strong enough to hang himself. It is possible to make a knife from paper too and has been used before to seriously injure or kill. That is not what he used so that method won't be further discussed here.

Twist paper, any paper tight enough and it can be made into a strong "enough" rope.
The fibers of the bed sheet are long and stronger, similar to cotton so that would be a logical choice if he was able to tear it into strips first and then tightly twist it. The paper can also be braided using 3 strands to make it much stronger. Knot at the ends so the paper stays tight.

This is mostly boy scout survival stuff. It's not that difficult, it just takes time.

So, now he has a rope. He make himself a noose. Rolling yourself over and over on the floor would tighten any rope nose, enough.

Now the hard part. One would have to be determined or conditioned but it can be done. Japanese warriors in WWII often committed Hari-Kari with a sword rather than to be taken prisoner. They were conditioned for it.

Epstein understands the physical principles of leverage and has conditioned his mind to be able to off himself or at least to endure the needed physical pain.

Without seeing his bed, any rope or his cell the rest is strictly conjecture on my part.

He has to be able to attach the rope. I assume it was some how either attached to the bed it was steel or the cell door if the bed was just a mattress on a concrete platform base.

Either way he attaches the rope he needs maximum distance to exert velocity. 3-4' is all he would need. He has to be conditioned for pain though because he's going to yank and push with his legs using the most amount of leverage possible.
The first try or two doesn't kill but maybe is enough to fracture a neck bone. He has to repeat this a couple more times. It is going to be painful and he probably blacks out between each yank of the rope. Finally, another bone or two is broken and the rope is still tight around his neck. His airway is beginning to close. He leans in, waits no longer than about 10 minutes until he passes out, for good.

IF IT DIDN'T HAPPEN THAT WAY, A GUARD OR A HIT MAN THAT LOOKED LIKE A GUARD, USED THE PAPER ROPE TRICK AND MADE IT LOOK LIKE HE DID IT HIMSELF.

Yea it is looking like it was just plain incompetence. The warden and associate warden both appear to be diversity hires and were clearly way the hell over their head. Barr has expressed shock at how grossly incompetently the facility was run. This bit of news has certainly shifted my perspective. When you hire people who are physically incapable for the job, colossal screw-ups are inevitable. This is why competence should be the only consideration for a job. America is shifting away from competence to diversity and this incident is an example of more to come. Kind of reminds me of the corrupt prosecutor on the Smollette case, another person who had no business holding her position.

So I agree with you. This was probably not a conspiracy. Just a couple of rank amateurs completely unfit for the job they were given. They should be fired of course and never allowed to work for the government again.
