I'm not gonna go dig up evidence for you. It's your job to prove your point.

    Funny how this works.

Fact is, inspite of being an idiot and a loud mouthed braggart. Donald Trump has done more good for America by donating his salary to various causes. Than every member of this board combined.

Funny how he is the bad guy even when he does something good.. and he is the one causing divisiveness?? Bullshit.

Its both remarkable and sad that so many despise donations to charity.

ROFL. I'm sure Trump will take that under advisement. You should email him your idea. I'm sure he loses sleep at night wondering if any lefties are "giving him credit":roflol:

I am not interested in advising Trump. Thanks for the offer.

41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts.
42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.
43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.
44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

It isn't about the amount you donated. Its how much of a sacrifice you really made relative to your standard of living. For Trump $100,000 doesn't impact his standard of living at all. For many families, just donating $500 can be a big sacrifice.

Also the intent of the donation is important. If Trump made this donation and did it publicly to get good press rather than real generosity, then it means nothing.

I don't have to provide evidence to you or any one. The fact you're too lazy to learn for yourself is exactly what trump is relying on.

What's LOL about Detroit? I left there in 1975 and moved to San Diego. Then to Tucson in 1996 after I retired in 1989 and traveled the country for several years in a motor home.

Fascinating, which years did you donate your salary to charity?

You should double check a few things yourself as well. The fees at Mar-a-Lago were at $200k back in 2012, but they were reduced after a drop in membership caused by the Bernie Madoff scandal that "broke" many of the resort's clientele. The plan to increase it back to $200k was already in the plans before Trump even started running for office. It was already bumped to $150k in June of 2016 and letters discussing the fee increase were sent out a year earlier....about the time Trump declared his candidacy. I have no doubt that Trump did not announce his candidacy with a belief that he would ever win and it appears his "run" was more motivated by his desire to capitalize on his status as "Presidential Candidate".

Salary. How much taxpayer money did he direct into his other businesses?

The house controls the purse not the president.

He certainly prepared a budget proposal, as all presidents do

The woman didn't give away all her earnings, but all the money she had. Also, Trump earns over 500 million per year from his company.

He doesn’t have a company. He has some investments, but she turned his company over when he took office.

Trump isn’t the woman, but he is giving his salary and working for the American people for free

Every time he goes to one of his properties he forces the federal government to spend money there. He is using the power of his office to direct taxpayer money into his businesses.

    Those sums outweigh the salary.

Any other federal employee who did the same thing would be in prison.

Obama got to play golf wherever he wanted, and travel to his home. Why can’t the current president?

Trump can’t help it he was a successful businessman and has investments.

Obviously his returns on his investments outweighs his salary, hence why he can donate it all back to the Govt .

You are intentionally ignoring the fact that Trump is using the power of his office to direct federal money into his investments.

It is a shallow PR exercise to donate his salary when he is shovelling far more money into his pocket through another route.
