    We tried it in 1867 when Seward of the Alaska purchase fame tried to buy Greenland and then Truman tried in 1946 I believe.

    We have attempted to or have purchased a lot of our real estate. From what I read about the early part of the 19th century it appears that there were some people who gave Tommy Jefferson a load of shishtowski over the Louisiana purchase even though that was an unbelievable deal. We did purchase Texas and the rest of the Soutwest with the price of war e.g. the blood of our soldiers and sailors. Ok some Texan will say that Texas came along willingly but we still had to fight Mexico.

    I did point out that the NATO treaty says that we do not invade a fellow member of NATO. But of course Trump did crap all over NATO countries while applauding Russia.

    Ok tell that to the families of our NATO allies who have died in Afghanistan. You may be correct in the future as Trump has crapped all over on our NATO allies and helped Putin and Russia. Making Rusia and EU weak is what Putin wants and Trump is giving Putin that gift on a platter.
